Prologue

It was late, or was it early?

Katherine really couldn't tell anymore since all she had been doing since being drafted into S.H.I.E.L.D. was train, spend time with Clint, and well no that's basically it. She had been waiting until her "first" day at S.H.I.E.L.D. which so happened to be today.

Not having to hide her feelings anymore, she awoke with a smile on her face for the first time in years as she felt a pair of strong arms wrapped around her. She smile in content, knowing it was Clint next to her. She slowly rolled around, trying her best not to wake him as she just stared at him for a little bit. I could get use to waking up every morning like this she thought to herself before finally deciding to get up. She slowly unwrapped herself from Clint's arms, the one place in the world that she felt safe, as she sat up stretching a bit. She looked around their room, noticing that their clothes were still scattered everywhere from the events of the previous night. But that was normally how their nights ended.

They would spend the whole day together, training and Clint getting her ready for S.H.I.E.L.D., Bruce trying to help her control her anger, then at the end of the day they would just completely get at each other. It was due to all the years of being separated, they weren't gonna go another night without being together.

Katherine wrapped herself around in the sheets as she walked over to the mirror that hung above the dresser, looking at her reflection. She studied her face and she knew there was something different. she looked the same but the one thing that she different was her smile, she actually had one. And it was all because of the guy laying in her bed, he made her so happy that she always had to stop to wonder if it was real life. She twirled the arrow necklace that Clint had gotten her, smiling to herself.

"I love waking up to a view." she heard a voice from behind her say as she turned around and noticed Clint had woken up. He yawned as he stood up, completely naked, and started walking over to her. She couldn't help but blush as he wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin against her shoulder. "what are you smiling about?"

"You..." She smiled as she turned around and looked at him, placing her hands on his cheeks and staring into his eyes. "And how unbelievably and unrealistically happy you make me.." Katherine leaned in and placed a small kiss on his lips before walking back over to the bed before the kiss could get too heated. She couldn't help but laugh as Clint groaned once she walked away. "something the matter?"

"You can't just leave me like that." Clint complained as Katherine laughed. "What are you doing up so early anyways?"

"Have my very first day as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent remember." Katherine smirked as she sat down on the bed, making sure the sheets around her were still tight as she grabbed her brush so she could start brushing out her hair. "I wouldn't want to be late for the first day of class." She joked.

"You're going to do just fine, now can we get back to what you started." Clint laughed as Katherine couldn't help but smile too, allowing him to wrap his arms around her waist and press their lips together. Katherine smiled against his lips as she was about to wrap her arms around his neck until someone opened the door to their room.

"STARK?!" Katherine yelled in surprise as she pushed Clint away from her and through a pillow off the bed to cover himself with. Clint couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation as Tony just stood there, completely shocked but yet entertained. He loved seeing his fellow Avengers in their natural habitats, and loved seeing them do things that he could tease them about later.

"I was here to remind you of your training session. First day and all..Looks like you made her pull an all nighter Barton." Tony joked. "fury wants to know why Thorne's not in the training room yet."
