I turned to Clare. "Stay here. You'll know when I need you." She didn't reply. She just kept floating above the couch. "Okay then, T-Pup!" He looked at me. "I need you to stand guard. If Sonic walks in, hide."

He barked in reply.

I got ready to run. But first, I looked around to see if everything had slowed down again. Nope.

I opened the door, and shut it gently and got into running position.  And focused.

"Try to control it... Be one with your power."

Next thing I knew, I started running. The speedometer read that I was going 765 mph, just as fast as Sonic, but with way faster acceleration.

I was running for about two minutes until I skidded to a stop by the bank, and I was deafened by the sound of what seemed like a million police sirens. No one saw me, which was good. I climbed on the roof and peered through the skylight, looking for the hostages.

Car doors slammed shut in the alley and some faint voices reached me. It was a truck chained to a huge black safe.

 "The crooks.."

There were five foxes. Brown, grey, orange, yellow, and white. I used my scanner to look for the hostages, and it showed the whole bank, bottom to top, in a 3-D view.

They're in the safe?! Not only are they gonna take the money, they're gonna take the hostages with them... One of the hostages was a cop, handcuffed to a pipe.

I looked down and saw that there were three more foxes in the bank, directly under the skylight.

"Time for a grand entrance." I slammed my fist into the glass and broke the whole skylight, along with some chunks of concrete from the building. Glass and dust rained down and blocked me from view.

I dropped dead center of it all. "Hey, fellas!" I waved at them.

The red fox looked at the others and motioned with his gun. "WHAD'YA DOIN'? SHOOT THE DAMN BASTARD!"  They all fired at once...

And one by one... but slowly... the bullets came out.

I walked past the bullets, ignoring what happened, and punched the grey fox in his face,  knocking him out with a single blow.  Then I kicked the red one in the butt, and flipped the blue fox upside down, so he could land on his head when normal speed resumed.

I then grabbed all the bullets, and flicked them away from the direction of the police blockade . Then everything went to normal speed, and all three of the foxes fell on the ground. The bullets slammed into a wall.

"No money today, folks. The only thing you DO get--" I crouched down by the red fox.  He was looking at me while covering his butt. "--is the possibility of a prison sentence with a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years behind bars. You're welcome."  The red fox groaned in response, but I didn't care about him. I had more work to do.

I rushed outside, and hid behind a few crates near the truck. The one chained to the safe.

The orange fox raised his gun and looked around in alarm. "They ain't respondin'! Somethin' happened..." He began walking towards me.

"Some things don't seem to change..." I whispered and grabbed a flash grenade from my pouch. I threw it out in the center.

"Huh?" The grey fox cocked his head as all the others looked dead at the grenade.

It exploded and blinded them. I ran toward them and knocked the grey one in the head, hit the orange one with my iron tail, throwing him back against a wall, and punched the brown one in the face, making him tumble down on the ground.

"Freeze, bucko..." I felt the barrel of a gun touch the back of my helmet. I didn't care. I spun around and knocked the white fox's gun away, making him fire a few rounds at nothing. I grabbed the gun's barrel and whacked him in the face with the butt of his own gun.

"There's one more... Where is he?" I crouched down to where the white fox would look at me. "Where is the yellow one?" No reply.

I got up and turned the scanner on. The scanner showed that he was under the truck, hiding. I walked over and acted like I didn't know where he was.

Hm... Let's test strength.  With both hands, I grabbed the semi truck, and lifted it with no problem...

"Woah!" I was shocked. I looked down and saw the yellow fox, trembling in fear. "Get up. Now." I set the truck down beside him, and grabbed him by the shirt. I stopped...

It was a young kid, about 15 in age, holding his hands in front of his face. As if I was about to punch him. I set him down gently. "Kid, what are you doing here?!" I shook him a little. "You know how dangerous this is? There's about two hundred cops waiting to put you in cuffs now, thanks to your little heist!"

The kid just stared at me in shock.

I told him to stay put until officers come for him. Then I ran to get the cuffs from the cop who was locked up in the safe.

"Thank you! thank you!" The officer said. He was a brown rabbit. He got up after I freed him and shook my hand.

"Don't mention it, and tell them there's a child involved in this." I ran outside and grabbed the all foxes by their shirts and dragged them to the center of the the bank. They were unconscious, and the kid was just sitting in a chair by the wall.

"Alright... Time to come out." I grabbed the crooks again and dragged them by the door. I looked out, and thought twice about if I should walk out or not. The hostages thought for me...

The civilians ran out and fled far away, and I was the only one left along with the crooks.

I was just standing there, two hundred cops starring dead at me. face to blockade, hundreds to one. Next thing I knew, they started cheering and clapping.

I dropped the foxes by a police car and let the police do the rest. The kid walked out, holding his arms out for a cop to cuff him. Instead a fire fighter walked up to him to make sure if he was alright.

I got into position to run away back to the hangar.

"Freeze!" A cop ran toward me, and stuck his hand out. "Thank you so much for your help, whoever you are." I smiled under the helmet.

"Anytime, anywhere. I'll be there." I shook his hand and turned around.

And there I saw him... It...

Sonic... Starring dead at me.

"Who are you? Sick outfit dude!" Sonic said as he walked in circles around me, like a shark waiting to attack. I could care less about that compliment. I just stood there, silent.

News reporters swarmed around me in an instant.

"Who are you?!"

"Where did you come from?!"

"How did you stop eight criminals with your bare hands?!"

"How does it feel to be our newest hero?!"

"Why do you have iron around your tail?"

Apparently they knew I was a fox...

Another reporter was about to open their mouth, but I shook my head and held my hand up, signaling I didn't want to talk. Sonic locked eyes with me as I walked past him, and I ran off at normal speed. My first hero move, that's a step closer.
