it has been one whole day since you left sydney, but it feels like so much longer. i miss you a lot, luke, and i've been trying so hard not to cry.
do you remember when we first met? i do. i'll never forget it. kindergarten, the very first day, and i was so scared. i hid behind my mum's legs, hoping the teacher wouldn't see me. but she did and i cried, but then a tiny blond boy came over and took me by the hand. he said that everything was going to be alright, that i shouldn't be scared anymore. i went with him and we sat by each other in the classroom. we were instantly best friends. that boy was you, luke. you promised me everything would be alright. where are you now to tell me it will be alright? because it's hard being here with out you.
