Soyeon walked though the streets of the neighboring village. Running errands for Mina while Yukime had her children. She bought what was needed and began her way back when she was stopped by a taller high alpha.

"I uh.. couldn't help but notice you were a new face in our village." He smiled at her.

"I'm mated." Soyeon mumbled before pushing past the alpha. By the time she had made it back to her own village she felt emotionally drained.

"Mommy!" Both girls cheered when they saw her. She smiled at them, lifting Mia up from the play pen. She caught a glance at herself in the mirror, her mate mark was fading... almost gone now.  She shook her head, trying not to cry in public again. She hurried home, putting her children down for a nap before going into her closet, pulling out a hoodie Shizuha wore. She didn't want to scent it at all, she only wanted to smell her scent. But it was fading... Just like her mate mark.

She couldn't help but break down again, tears freely streaming down her face as she thought of her mate.

"I miss you so much." She cried into the hoodie.

"Try harder." Shizuha growled at the little boy as she tried to stand up. Weeks she had been trying to walk with the stupid crutches. "You're not very good with patience." He giggled.

"And you're not very good with leaving me be." She fired back. Eventually she gave up, flopping down on the bed. She hated having to rely on these strangers to help her with little things.

"You need motivation." The boy ran out of the room, for once Shizuha was glad to be alone. Until he came back holding a cookie in his hands.

"Daniel, I don't want the cookie." Shizuha frowned.

"It always makes me do things!" He giggled, waving the cookie in front of her.

"Just leave me be... Please." She sighed. "I want to brood."

"What's brood?" He asked.

"Daniel, leave her alone!" His mother's voice made him jump, running out of the room. She glared at him as she walked into the room holding a tray. "How are you feeling today?" She asked.

"Better." She mumbled. "Just... Wish I could walk on my own." She shrugged.

"You will. And your memory will come back. Speaking of, anything?" She frowned. Shizuha shook her head, looking down at the floor. She knew she was missing someone, she just couldn't figure it out. She wished she could.

"Ten." Sana placed the bill on the table, looking at Sihyeon closely. "Take it or leave it." She narrowed her eyes at the toddler.

"You can't negotiate with a toddler!" Mina yelled while taking the bill off the table.

"I was close!" Sana groaned.

"You just have to ask her nicely." Mina sighed. "Sihyeon, please open your mouth? We need to see what you're eating." Mina tried her best to be calm about it. Especially since neither of them knew what she had shoved in there. The toddler shook her head, giggling as she sat on the stool.

"You little sh—" Mina slapped her mate's arm, stopping her from swearing. The door clicked open, revealing a tired Soyeon.

"I'm back." She sighed. "What's going on?" She asked.

"Don't panic..." Mina frowned.

"Sihyeon shoved something in her mouth and she won't spit it out." Sana admitted with a straight face. Soyeon nodded, walking over to the toddler.

"Don't judge me." She quickly stated before pinching her daughter's nose. "Open." She held out her hand in front of her mouth, forcing the toddler to spit out the giant LEGO she had shoved in there. "No more." She pointed, releasing her nose.

"Why didn't you think of that?" Sana chuckled at Mina.

"All of our children never shoved anything in their mouths that wasn't food or small enough to fit." Mina sighed, making a mental note to remember the trick for next time.

After dinner the young mother sat with her head buried in her work, typing reports for her boss while her children slept. Mina watched as she struggled to stay awake, her heart ached for her. She stayed silent, watching her until she rubbed her eyes, looking away from the laptop and out at the porch. She set it down, deciding to go outside. Mina took her chance and quickly went into the kitchen, making coffee for her.

Soyeon leaned against the rail, letting the cold night air hit her. She couldn't focus on a lot of things anymore. Her mate mark was fading, her mate's scent was fading on everything around her... Nothing reminded her of her mate, but at the same time... Everything reminded her of her mate.

When she walked back inside, she saw a mug of coffee placed on the table next to her laptop with a note.

'Don't stay up too late. But there is a full pot in the kitchen for you.'

Soyeon smiled at the note, going back into her work. She was happy that she had people who helped her, and allowed her to stay in the pack.

Her mate was the only tie she had to the pack, not even her children were pack children. They came from other places, and were accepted into this pack under strict rules. Shizuha knew the risks with Sihyeon growing up with heats, of course Sana knew the risks as well with Masashi as well.

The rule was during that time, the omegas would hide themselves away from the world, just in case someone reacted to their heat scents. Soyeon just hoped that nothing terrible would happen to her daughters. She hoped they could live normal lives. That was all she wanted. Of course she wanted her mate back, but she was gone. Gone forever from the world.

When the realization hit her, she teared up. She was never going to see her mate ever again. Her daughters would grow up without her. Everything was going to be alone...
