EMOTIONS

I believe emotions are not simply categorized or described to be distinctly happy, sad, angry, jealous, etc. It can't be simply one shade or feel. It's like a combination of different feels at different levels presenting to you a complex yet simply consumed and expressed emotion that describes you in a place or situation.

Colors have shades. Light to dark and everything in between. There are a gazillion names for different colors. But you can't define emotions like you define colors. You're not always "just happy" or "just sad". Sometimes we're both. Sometimes we're neither.

I do realize it's not easy to define colors. But we can't even name emotions sometimes.

Yes, one could say the basic emotions are happiness, sadness, disgust, fear, and anger. (Inside out anyone?) And yet, can any sane human say those are the only emotions he has experienced? Or just variations of these? Yes, there might be a scientific classification out there for our emotions. But not in the realistic sense... I don't think so. And I'm not trying to classify emotions either. I'm saying no one can, no one should classify it. No one can.

Feelings, much like colors can be mixed to create other shades. And yet, sometimes we are unable to realize ourselves what we feel. And who are we to attempt to do that after all.
