My heart is pounding harder than it ever has before.
I do what Lucas says and I hide in his room but I hate not knowing if he's alright. I've been awkwardly lying in one of his draws that I took the clothes out of and put in the laundry basket.
I could faintly hear gun shots being fired for about 20 minuets until about 3 minuets ago when they all stopped. I don't know why they stopped but I hope it wasn't because the Russian mafia won.
*knock knock*
My heart feels like its moved to my throat
"Lia it's me Leo, you can come out now, it's safe" I recognise Leo's voice and a massive sense of relief washes over me.
"Oh my god Leo, what happened?" I ask as I step out of the draw distraught and crying. I tried to hold back the tears but I couldn't
"Igor's father was pissed when your Dad declined his offer" he says and pulls me into a hug, "we thought he still thought that you were at the party so when your Dad told you to go home we went to but Igor's father must have realised" He says realising me from the hug
"Where's Lucas?" I ask afraid
"He's fine. Well he will be, don't worry about him he's being looked at right now. Your Dad's also fine he-"
"Wait looked at? What do you mean? What happened to him?" I ask stressed
"He got shot once in the shoulder and once in the gut but don't worry we had a doctor with us and he said that he's going to be fine" Leo says following me out of Lucas's room, "wait Lia, your Dad said that you have to stay up here. He doesn't want you to see all the blood".
"I don't care. I'm going to see Lucas" I say and run down the stairs. Lucas was only in this situation because I made him drive me away from the ball. If I hadn't of made him he could be fine right now.
There is so much blood everywhere, it's splattered all over the walls and dead bodies lie all over the ground. Luckily I don't recognise any of them but it's still chilling to see.
"Lia get up to your room now!" My Dad yells at me from in the living room where he's stood talking to a few people in a very serious manner.
"Where's Lucas?" I ask. He realises that I'm not going to give in and just says
"In the dinning room" then goes back to his discussion
As I enter the dinning room I hear him before I see him.
"Fuck! Hurry up with it already!" He yells at a poor guy who I'm guessing is the doctor
"Lucas?" I say as I walk over to the dinning table, he's lying on his back while the doctor has surgical equipment in his hands and is digging into Lucas trying to get the bullet out.
"Lia! Are you alright?" He asks concerned
"Yes, I'm fine. But what about you? What happened?" I ask, he must be in a lot of pain but right now he's not showing it
"Good, that's good. Oh I'm-" He winces as the doctor pulls a bullet out of him, "fine"
"Yeah, you seem it" I say to Lucas, "Is he going to be alright?" I ask the doctor
"Yes, he'll be fine if he rests. Luckily the bullets missed all major functions of his body but it was a close call."
"Okay good" I say relieved
"I told you I'm fine" Lucas laughs
I look at the doctor,
"He's on an intense pain killer that is now just kicking in. He'll start being very honest very soon" He says chuckling, "It's always funny to see what they say"
I look at Lucas who is looking up at the ceiling with amazement
"Okay, he's all done here." The doctor says as he finishes stitching up Lucas, "He should be on bed rest for at least 24 hours and after that he should take it very easy for at least 2 weeks"
"Okay thanks" I say
"Hey you two!" The doctor says to two guys walking past the door, they turn around and walk in, "Come grab this stretcher and help Lucas to his room"
The two guys do as he says and soon I'm sitting next to Lucas on his bed.
"Hey Lia?" Lucas says in a way that makes it very obvious to me that the pain medication has set in
"Yeah"
"Can I tell you a secret?" He says giggling like a little girl
"Is it a good secret?" I ask laughing at the way he's acting
"No" he says then gets all sad and frowns
"Why? What is it?"
"I like this girl" He says sadly
"Why's that a bad thing?" I ask
"Because we can never be together" He says frowning
"Who is it?" I ask hoping that I already know the answer
But before Lucas can even reply Leo barges in
