|Zak|
I yawn loudly and sleepily open my eyes. Despite being curled into a ball I feel really cold, I think nothing of it. For a second I feel disoriented and forget the events of yesterday. I revealed my powers... I shake my head and look around. I spot Darryl slumped on the floor, fast asleep. I chuckle to myself.
Painfully I push myself off the couch and attempt to sneak up on Darryl. To my dismay, limping is quite loud. Darryl slowly opens his eyes. He turns his head and looks at me. Slowly, he rises from his resting place and stares at me blankly.
"Zak? What are you doing?"

I roll my eyes and sit on the nearby coffee table. "I was trying to wake you. But apparently I can't walk properly, let alone sneak."
Darryl sticks out his tongue in response and gets up. He walks over to me and sits down on the coffee table next to me. I shiver slightly. It's so cold into here...

"How your leg?" He asks, worried, as usual.
I look down at my leg. The bandage around it has frayed. We currently have no bandage left, and my leg seems not be healing. In fact is actually hurts far more than it did before. I wish it could just heal on it's own, but I have a feeling it'll never heal.
"It's okay." I reply with a shrug. And it hurts like hell.
Darryl eyes me with disbelief, but doesn't say anything. "I'll get some breakfast ready."

I still find it strange that we have breakfast. I went from having barely a meal a week to having a meal everyday. It's nice.
I have a feeling Darryl would be a good cook given he had the right ingredients. I'm glad I have a friend I can trust. I barely know him but I know I can trust him. It's really nice having a friend again. I'm probably the happiest I've been since... the day I've left, not including the agony in my leg.

Darryl walks back towards me with some bread and jam. Good find Darryl made I might add.  I feel like royalty, this kind of food is is a luxury for people like us.
I eat the bread thankfully. It tastes quite good, sweet. The bread is soft and the jam leaves a sweet tang on my tongue.

(OK WHY THE HELL IS JAM CORRECTING TO MEME)

After eating I still strangely feel tired. I feel as though I haven't slept in years. I painfully stand up and hobble towards my resting place, couch in simpler words. Darryl swivels around the coffee table to face me. He raises an eyebrow at me. I smirk. "Feeling a bit tired."

Darryl shrugs. "Well I was kinda thinking..." he starts with a nervous tone.
I roll my eyes. "Spit it out."
Seeming taken aback by the annoyed tone he takes his time in replying. I guess I just decided to trust him yesterday. Too soon Zak. "That perhaps we could, well uh..." I sit in silence waiting for him to get his words together. "Get to know each other a bit more?"
I smirk again. "It could be like a game show!"
Darryl chuckles. He thinks for half a second before firing away. "Ok, so we're starting simple. Zak, tell me the basic information."

"Like fav colour n' stuff?" Darryl nods in reply. I giggle at the stupidity of the question. Why would we need to know favourite colours? "My name is Zak, occupation, criminal, hated by the lunatics and a cool guyy. Favourite colour is blue, specifically the blue that looks a bit green, but not too green that it looks green just it has a faint green to it. I quite enjoy pizza specifically thin crust and I also like vanilla ice cream."

Darryl nods whilst I'm speaking and raises an eyebrows at some of my wording. "Lunatic?" He echos once I've finished.
I chuckle. "What I call the Authorities."
Darryl chuckles as well. "Nice name." I turn my attention to him now, staring into his eyes with a mischievous glint. He rolls his eyes. "I'm Darryl, probably wanted in some areas. My favourite colour is green as it reminds me of friendship.. and it's realllly prettyyy. and... I really
like muffins, like love muffins. And I like helping people!" He sounds so innocent...
I giggle at the mention of muffins. My face feels as though it's heating up, actually it's my whole body. I feel so hot I might just faint. Probably just tired...
