Inaya's POV
I got home after my dad picked me up from school and ate dinner. Dad and Daniel was discussing about finding a babysitter and tutor for me I said it was okay and that they could take their time in finding one.
Now it's 6pm and I'm opening the journal. It didn't have a name in the front page but it said, "My Life" with black ink. I skipped through pages and stopped at one where it was written 6 years ago,

"Who I am..."
My name is Midnight Lilith and I am 7 years old. I am good at math and science. I have long pure white hair just like mommy . I have two different color eyes, my left eye is yellow and my right eye is blue. My parents say I am a unique kid. I love my mom and dad a lot. My parents say I have to hide my hair and eyes from people because they will think I'm a monster. And that I can't tell my friends that I am different because they will change and bully me.

"My Beginning"
Today I found out that my mom and my dad were well known thieves in Japan. They told me that they were not the bad thieves who steal to get money or harm people, they said they stole items that were stolen from good people and returned it to them. They told me that it was obligatory for kid's of the thieves to become one. My dad trained me how to be more flexible and be silent as a ninja. My mom taught me how to be a master of disguises. I didn't mind becoming a thief because we were trained to help and not harm people. One of the rules of being a thief is to not reveal your identity.

"Bad Cat"
My parents were arguing and it seems like it was because of me, but I don't remember doing anything bad. I was good girl today. My dad was telling me how I was a jinx and that I was a black cat that only brought bad luck. Months later after that my parents divorced and I'm living in a new house with my mom. I don't see my dad anymore and I ask mom where he is she only crys. She then told me that dad left me and mom alone. I wanted talk to my dad but he never comes home anymore. It was my birthday and mom told me that she had a mission so I asked her if she could take me to see from a distance as a birthday wish. She told me yes and I was really happy to see mom help someone. I stayed on top of a tree hiding waiting for her to come back. That's when I heard the siren of a police car chasing mom. Mom was being cornered and I wanted to help her but she told me to not come out no matter what. A tall male police officer came out of his car from a distance and my mom tried to escape. But the man shot my mom, I then rushed over to my mom before the man came. Before mom died she told me to take her clothes off and change it into a civilian and to put her body in the near river. I did what she told me to but I cried because she was slowly dying. When I finished the last thing she told me before her last breath was, "Don't even get caught by them, they think we are bad people. Never trust a man named Hir" I heard people coming and it was a group of police officers, I went home and cleaned the blood off me. I looked over in the news(T.V) and it said they found a woman murdered by the river. It was my mom, they said it was just a common murder and they closed the case not wanting to investigate who killed her, but the killer was a police officer. Why were they lying?

"Revenge"
Ever since my mom was killed 5 years ago I was never the same. I couldn't tell anyone that my real name was Midnight, I had to use it as a middle name. That name is like a precious memory that was given to me by my mom. A year passed and I tried to contact my dad but I couldn't find him anymore. I was left alone again, now I don't have anyone to help me and tell me what to do. I hate police officers they make people think they are good and that all thieves and criminals are bad. Why was I bringing bad luck, was I destined to be alone? I made up my mind that I will be a thief, a thief who will be known all around Japan. I have to train even more and find the man who killed my mom. When I find who he is, I will kill the person he loves most in front of him and let him pay for his sins. When I come back from aboards and return to Japan when I'm 15, I will be Kaitou Leila. The thief seeking revenge.
