Akaki POV
I got to school and everyone was already in class and I went to the nurse office to bandage my injury. The nurse made me a note so I could give to my teacher. I put my bag in my locker and hope that time would be a little bit faster because having a bloody shirt in school made me anxious.
I opened the door, Lina and Erica were shocked at my bruised cheek and everyone else started to get nosy about my business. "Nothing bad happened don't worry." I said and went to my seat.
Class went as usual and I kept sensing that something was wrong, I felt even more anxious. Maybe I'm starting to get paranoid because of Jenny's doings. I was the last person to leave class for lunch and Jenny was laughing with her friend and she didn't even glance at me which made me uneasy. In free period Daniel didn't go to class so I was the only one in class. A girl opened my classroom door and said, "the teacher is looking for you, she is right next door." After she told me she left and I walked next door to not find any teacher. I decided to brush it off as a prank and went back to class and saw Daniel standing up with a serious face.
"What happened shorty?"
He came back to reality, "Oh, nothing. Class is about to start." He said and the bell rang, students started to come in and then Jenny came in the class furious. She searched for everyone's desk and then glared at me, "You!" She pointed at me and came straight for me. She slapped me and everyone gasped while I was trying to calm my inner demon before it came out and killed this girl. "You-" I slapped her before she could even finish talking and everyone gasped again. She touched her cheek and looked shocked at my action, "My mother once said, 'If somebody hits you than hit them back harder because maybe their common sense left them and they need someone to help them get it back.' So you're welcome." I said with a smile and she didn't know what to say.
She started with her fake tears, "How can you be so cruel." A girl in my class stated while giving me a disgusted expression. "Me? Cruel? Sweetheart, since you think you have a heart of gold why don't you tell us who was the cruel person who attacked an innocent first?" I asked and she stayed silent. "I thought so. So please, shut your mouth and if you have something to say think before you speak." She trembled in embarrassment and I turned to look at Jenny who was shedding crocodile tears.
"You, how could you? I didn't do anything to you so why did you steal it?" She cried and one of her friends hugged her while Jenny cried in her arms. I stayed silent to see what else she would say and the classroom was full of whispers of me. "What are you talking about, Jenny? I don't understand." I asked hurt. "You stole the necklace that my late grandfather gave me. Please Akaki give it back, I beg you. I didn't tell anyone about you pushing me accidentally and the occasions that created misunderstandments so why are you doing this?" She cried. I couldn't even talk because she kept crying and talking, she really is an evil witch.
"Akaki, not only have you stole her necklace but you also bullied her? What is wrong with you?" A girl said. These girls don't know how to shut their mouth's!
"Let's check her locker." As soon as she said that I rushed to block two girls from touching my locker. "Oh my Akaki, you really did steal it." One of them mocked. If I let them see it they will see the bloody shirt and if I don't they will blame me for stealing. "Why should I show my locker when their are other girls in this class? Why are you only suspecting me, Jenny?" I asked. "Yeah that's right why are you only suspecting Akaki?" Lina and Erica said.
"Because Lilia told us she saw you in the classroom during break period." A girl said and pointed at the girl who told me that the teacher needed me. I couldn't deny it because I did go to the classroom but I left right away. The girls were trying to get pass me to open my locker but I blocked them and was against my locker pushing them away.
These girls don't know when to give up, "Hey! Stop it and move." I glared and one of the girls flinched. The girls pushed me harder and then someone slammed the desk out of the way in a harsh manner. It was Daniel and he walked towards us, the girls stepped away a few steps.
"What do you think you are doing?" He asked the girls. "Why are you mistreating her so bluntly?" The girls were startled by his tone. He never used that harsh tone when talking to girls. "Because she has Jenny's necklace. Daniel since you are a detective and whatever find the necklace and make Akaki pay for her crime." The girl said.
Daniel seemed to be even angrier, "What right do you have to ask her to open up her locker? Are you trying to examine her belongings?
"If she has nothing to hide, she should show her locker." This girl keeps making excuses. "If the necklace is in her locker so what? What if it wasn't her who grabbed it but one of you put it in there?" The girls feel silent. Daniel looked towards me and then Jenny, "Everyone was in class except lunch and rest period. Akaki was indeed in the classroom during rest period but she was asked to come see a teacher by one of your friend's." Jenny flinched and I'm trying to remember how does he know it wasn't me.
"Daniel don't be like that, why are you taking her side?" Jenny asked hurt. He pulled out his phone and faced it so the class could see it, we all saw me in the classroom being called by a student to the neighboring classroom supposedly because a teacher needed me. Once I left the class the same girl came in the classroom and tried opened my locker. The locker thankfully got stuck and the girl pulled out Jenny's necklace to try and put it in but she heard me coming and she ran away with the necklace in her pocket.
Daniel approached Lilia the girl who wanted to frame me, "Do you mind if a girl checks your pockets?" He asked with a smile and Lilia trembled from guilt. She pulled out the necklace on her own, she was going to explain herself, "I didn't want to, Jenny made-" Jenny interrupted her, "Lilia how could you have done this to me! You knew how much this necklace means to me and you were going to frame Akaki!"
Jenny really likes to act innocent, the bad thing was that I couldn't prove it was Jenny who made Lilia frame me.
The girls who were trying to open my locker didn't like that I was innocent, I stepped forward to Jenny. "How about an apology, Jenny?"
"What? Why?" She asked stupidly. "Because you attacked me like a wild girl and you accused me of stealing your necklace and it wasn't even me, of course." My classmates whispered among themselves, if she didn't apologize she would be seen as if she was targeting me only.
"I'm really sorry for what happened today, Akaki." She pushed passed me with an angry face and I couldn't help but smile. Everyone went to sit and I looked at Daniel, 'Thank you' I mouthed softly and he nodded with a smile.
