Daniel POV
Inaya has been mad at me even more since I told her what I said to Kaitou. It was morning so I didn't want to argue with Inaya so I let it go. Inaya went to her room so I took the opportunity to ask my Dad something.
"Dad, are you gonna tell me about Akaki and the street." He always went stiff and nervous everytime I asked that question, "Daniel, we are not going to argue first thing in the morning."
"Then dont, just tell me."
"You don't need to know, just don't fall for her. She isn't what you think she is."
"What do you mean?"
"Dad I think you said enough, she is trusting you but you talk behind her back like she is someone bad." Inaya interrupted, her gaze wasn't the little naive girl anymore. She was growing and turning cold. I'm worried she will turn into a bad person. "Inaya why are you like this, seriously what is wrong with you?" I asked her.
"I'm being like this because I have understood that the world is unfair, this world is too judgemental. You are obligated to be someone you aren't and when you show your true self no one understands you." She said like as if she experienced it before.
"From what you told me lastnight, she is hurt. Not physically but mentally, she just wants people to understand her and not criticize her for what she isn't. I'm going to school alone." She said.
She left the house and I looked at Dad who was looking at his newspaper. "Aren't you going to lecture her." I asked. She is right, Daniel. This world is too judgemental. I'm surprised she understands part of the world at such a young age. You should open your eyes before it's too late." He advised.

~Skips to Free Break~

When I was in my class Takaki came in to greet me.
"Hey Takaki"
"Hey Dani, how's the festival going?"
"I don't know I haven't been paying attention to it. I'm more concentrated on catching Kaitou."
"You should just forget about that while you prepare the festival because you have to enjoy your childhood." He said. Akaki came in the class and looked at us and went to her desk. "Someone looks grumpy." Takaki said.
"Hey pretty girl, you mind telling me what's your name." He said. He is a lady's man, he always wants to hit on girls but he never dates them. "Yeah I do mind. I don't like telling my name to pimps." She glared. "You look so cute when you're glaring." He said.
Akaki stood up and walked towards him. She lifted his chin with her index finger and she smiled seductively, "Why thank you, too bad I'm not into police officers." Her smile turned into a frown and she left.
I turned to look at Takaki who had a red face. I have never seen Takaki blush when a girl approached him or tried to flirt. He was always the one that made them blush, he was like a pro but he just blushed from just one touch.
"Takaki, why are you blushing?"
"She is one of a kind, I like her. What's her name?"
"Akaki." I don't know why but i feel like something is telling me that I shouldn't have told him her name. "Oh, is this the girl you told me to investigate. Aren't you interested in her?"
I only heard the first question and I nodded. "Wait you are seriously interested in her?"
"What! No! She is the one I told you to investigate, I'm not interested in her." I defended. "Since you aren't interested in her..give me her phone number."
"Nope she would kill me, she hates police officer's so you don't have a chance."
"Oh really, but you have her phone number somehow."
"That's because she wants to check on Inaya."
"Yeah right but ok, why don't she like police officer's? Many girls would want a boyfriend who has a uniform." Takaki said while trying to think.
"Well, she had a bad experience with police officer's when she was little. She sometimes even glares at me even her cousin does too."
"Her cousin? Who is her cousin?"
"His name is Mamoru, he is in a middle school class."
"I'm starting to get more interested in her, I bet I can make her fall for me."
"And then what, break up with her and make her hate police officer's when more?" I noticed my voice raised up. "Chill dude, I was just playing." He said. I sighed and holded my head, "So what did you sign up for in the festival?" He asked
"I signed up for cleaning, I didn't want to do anything since I have work to do."
"See this is what I'm talking about, you are so into working when you are just a kid. Have fun with the rest of childhood you have, when you grow up and your kids ask you what did you do go whole life, are you going to tell them that you worked since a kid."
"Stop nagging at me about childhood." Akaki came back and she sat on her desk. Her phone rang and she seemed pissed.
"Hello"
"Hello?"
"Are you the dumbass person who called last time? Look I'm getting tired of your calls when you aren't even talking, so could you please stop." I looked at Takaki who just shrugged. "You think this is funny? I'm hanging up."
After a few minutes Mamoru came in busting the door open and pale. "What?" Akaki said. "Outside now." Mamoru said. "What's wrong with you, you look like you've seen a ghost."
"Akaki, I'm serious."
They both left the room and I stayed confused. Mamoru was overprotective but this seemed serious by the way he looked.
"Who was that?" Takaki asked
"That's Mamoru, her cousin."
"They don't look alike in anything, they could probably go as friend but not relatives." He said and I just shrugged. Akaki came busting through the door and Mamoru was trying to talk to her. "Why didn't you tell me?" She said. Her expression were full of anger.
"Because you were sick and frustrated and I didn't want to put too much on you. After you recovered I have forgotten about it." Mamoru explained
"You forgetten! How can you forget, there is a creep out there probably watching us. He obviously knows what school we go to and probably where we live. Next thing you know we are dead."
Dead? What are they talking about, Akaki was never this shaken up about something and she even said creep. Takaki walked towards them, "Hey what's going on, what creep are you talking about? Are you two being followed or something?" He asked. "This isn't something you should concern yourself we will fix this ourselves." Akaki said.
"Akaki, we have to tell them. What if something really happens and nobody knew because we didn't say anything."
Akaki didn't say anything, "About 3 weeks ago she got a phone call from someone who stayed silent. The day she was sick she got another phone call and she won't tell me what they said. That same day I found a sticky note saying that someone was watching and if I was late...he would kill. Today we both got a phone call. The only thing that I heard was a voice saying tick tock." Mamoru said. I stood up and remembered the note that I picked up when Mamoru left running from class.
"Is this the note you talking about?" I said while looking for it in my bag and showed it to Mamoru who nodded.
"Do you have any friends or family members that may have something against you?" Takaki asked
"We don't have any relatives, we are the only ones left in our family." Akaki said. "Can you tell me what he said the day you were sick."
"I'm not saying it." Akaki grumbled. Mamoru got mad and grabbed her shoulders, "Akaki this isn't a game, we could actually be in danger!" Akaki looked at me with a sad look, "I'm sorry Daniel, I think you and your sister are in danger because of me." She said with a frown. "What do you mean?" I asked
"He said...'Did you have a good time with the little redhead?'"
"What redhea-, he isn't talking about Inaya right?"
"Inaya went to my house the day I didn't come to school. She skipped school that day because she found out I was sick." She said.
"How did she know where you lived?"
"She went to this school and asked the teachers, she pretended to be a cousin and they gave it to her."
"Why didn't you tell me? What if something happened to her!"
"How was I suppose to know that she skipped school because of me! I warned her to stay away from us when you first brought her here! I told her that she was in danger staying with us and I told her again when she visited me! How the f*ck was I suppose to know that we were being watch by some creep!" I was mad at this point because Inaya skipped school to see Akaki. Inaya would have been kidnapped while looking for her house. Anything could have happened, and now a creep saw Inaya. Takaki was trying to calm us down.

Akaki POV
"You know what, I now know why Inaya is like this." He said.
"What?" I said.
"Inaya never skipped school, she never talked back, she never was a cold person, she is a whole different person because of you!" He blamed me. "Are you trying to say that I'm a bad influence for Inaya?! You would have been in her funeral a few months ago of it wasn't for me!"
"What are you trying to say, that you would have killed her!"
"Did you know that Inaya was at her most breaking point when I found her! The day I came to school with injuries in my knee and palm was because I saved Inaya from being ran over by a truck!"
"What?" He asked. "I asked her why she was going alone to school and you want to know what she said! She said her damn brother was too busy to take her to school! Her brother never had time to play with her since he has work! Her brother and dad never were home and she felt lonely! She was bullied in school and she never told neither of you because she thought SHE WAS A BURDEN! The only person who she told that was me, ever since that day I have waited every morning in the sidewalk to make sure she went to school safetly! Everytime you or your dad didn't have time to take her home and she had to go home alone, her teacher called me so I could do it. No matter what I was doing or where I was I was the only one who took her home safetly!"
I was running out of air and he just looked at me dumbfolded, "The reason she was smiling those days was because she finally had someone to talk to about her problems! I gave your old man a good punch on the face when Inaya was kidnapped! Did you know that too! Huh! No, because you were at work and you dad was in the house! Inaya was crying asking for help when she was kidnapped! If you don't believe anything I said ask your dad! If anyone in here has fault of why Inaya is the way she is, is because of you!" My tears finally came out and I dropped to the floor. "Why am I just now knowing about this? Why am I the last one to know everything!"
"Because you so dense and only care about your work." I huffed and my head was spinning. "What would you do if she was looking for her real brother?" I asked and he froze.
"Akaki, stop!" Mamoru yelled but I didn't listen. "Inaya doesn't have a biological brother." Daniel said and I smirked.
"But what would you do if one day she leaves to find her real brother. The one who protected her from anything and really made time for her."
"She wouldn't leave because she is happy with us." Daniel said.
"Akaki, stop we aren't sure yet. Don't do this, please." Mamoru cried.
"Why is he pleading for you to stop? What else are you hiding?" Daniel asked. His face was mixed with anger and sadness. I really pity him right now, why is he working to be a police officer when he can't even help himself. "Forget about the phone call, I don't need the police's help. Just make sure Inaya is safe and there won't be a problem. If anything I believe that creep wants me, and if that's what he wants I'll figure it out on my own." I said. I left the room and Mamoru followed, I didn't need the police's help.
