Unzip my skin
And see all the skeletons
Buried beneathLook at the gears and cogs
Shifting and turning
Stare at my soul
Waiting and yearningRead all my thoughts
Like your favorite magazine
Hear my racing heartbeat
And try not to scream
As the panic sets in
And my feelings start running
Far too quick for me
To catch up
For I have never been a good runnerStep into my shoes
They're a little too tight
Reach for my shoulders
Unburden them of the weight
Of galaxies
Whole planets resting upon themStare through my eyes
See the way the sunlight
Makes his skin glow
And perhaps then you'll see
How easy it is to forget
That he isn't perfectUnzip my skin
And see all the skeletons
Buried beneath
Every bone aching
Every joint screaming
That this
This is what makes me
Human
The way I fall in love
And fall apart
The nights I can't sleep
And the days where sleep
Is the only thing
That I'm good atLook at the way I still stare
At the stars
Like it's the first time seeing them
And the way I look at him
The same way
This
This is what makes me
Human
