i am realizing that
perhaps the reason
for my fixation on
emptiness
is the flood of
feelings i typically
experience
i have only ever known
how to live life
in black and white
i feel too much
think too much,
i am too much
but oh,
how i long
to be empty
maybe then
i could be
worthy of my own
affection
