30:Mean Sister

Ross's POV

We all got back to LA from hectic but awesome world tour. We took a one week break from everything as we all have scheduled the recording of our new album for next two weeks. As for Laura and me, things are going really well. We didn't talk about the kiss yet but we are not pretending it didn't happen. We flirt in between our conversations and try to keep it less awkward. I was just sitting in my room, having fun with Pixie when I saw Rydel coming in

"Hey Ross, can I borrow your earphones? Mine are not working."

"Sure, they are on table, right side"

She was picking them up when she asked

"So what's going on between you and Laura, are you guys dating?"

"Not really, I'm not sure what to say"

"Ross you just kissed her! How could you possibly do that without telling her about your feelings?"

"How do you know that?"

"Girls talk!"

"You forced her to tell you right?"

"Maybe. But that's not the point. Why didn't you tell her how you feel?"

"I tried but before I could move on from "I" she said "I know""

"So?"

"So I don't know what she knows, what if it was just in the heat of the moment. And we haven't talked about the kiss yet. I don't want to ruin anything"

"You idiot, how many times are you going to hold back giving the same excuse? Go talk to her right now."

"But what if...."

"ROSS SHOR LYNCH GO ASK HER OUT RIGHT NOW!!!!!"

"Okay okay okay" I ran like there was no tomorrow cause it might not be. Rydel looks like she is gonna to eat me if I don't do this. I didn't even have to look through whole house, I am pretty sure where she would be.

I watched her sitting on our new couch, hair tied in a messy bun. She slided her black framed glasses back up her nose and wrote something in her song book. I was instantly reminded of the time in our tour bus when I first realised that I like her. It seemed like the universe is giving me a do-over and I am certainly not gonna spoil this one

I went inside and waited for her to look at me but she didn't. She must have not heard me come in.

"Laur..." She suddenly clenched her fists and stood in a boxing attack position. "Whoa whoa whoa what happened?" I said protecting my face with the guitar.

"God you scared me" she said settling down

"For what I remember you were about to punch me" I said sarcastically

"Sorry, I was so concentrated that your voice just scared me"

"Thank God you are different, if everyone was like you, R5 would have been a flop band"

"Enough with the jokes, what are you doing here?"

"I made a song. Just hear it" I gave her no time to speak and sang.
