Chapter 2

"Do you have any place to stay?" Niall asked once he finished cleaning me up.

"No. But I can probably stay at some hotel. I have some money in my bank account. Thanks for everything." I answered softly, grabbing my bag and walking to the door.

"That's not necessary." he replied, stopping me from reaching the front door. I looked at him confused. "You're staying here tonight. I don't trust this city at night."

"No. You don't have to do that! Really, I'll just get a hotel room!" I responded.

"Oh, but I do have to!" he smirked, blocking the door.

"Niall." I whined, but a small smile made its way on my face.

"Scar." he said, mimicking my tone.

My body froze when he called me that.

"W-what did you just call me?" I asked.

"Scar..." he answered cautiously.”Do you not like that? I don't have to call-"

"No, it's fine. It's just, my mother used to call me that." I stated, placing my hand gently on his forearm.

"Used?

"Yeah. She passed away two years ago." I paused. "I'm over it though."

"I'm sorry. Maybe I shouldn't call you that."

"It's fine, Niall. Really. I actually like it." I smiled. "Reminds me of her, yah know?"

He nodded and smiled, revealing his braces.

"So, do you live here alone? Because this is a big house." I laughed softly.

"No I live here with my 4 best friends." he replied. "I have a question."

"I have an answer." I paused. "Maybe."

He let out a cute little laugh that made my smile widen.

"Have you ever heard of One Direction?"

"No. What is it? A movie or something?" I questioned, tilting my head.

He let out a loud laugh.

"I'm sorry." he said, trying to act serious. But his serious face contorted has he tried to stifle his laughter.
