Kurt graduated from NYADA one year ago and he was trying to make his way in the world.He sang for clubs and events, and he'd had some small roles on a couple Broadway shows. He wasn't famous or rich but he had enough.

He hasn't come back to Lima since he left for his first year of college and after the second year there he lost contact with Rachel, they reminded him too much of his past and he'd rather forget it.

Sometimes guys in the bars he worked at invited him to a couple drinks but he hasn't dated anyone since Blaine. He didn't want to, it felt like he was betraying Blaine and he couldn't do that. He promised he'd wait for him forever and he'd plan on keeping his promise.

BLAINE'S POV

It's been nine months now since he woke up from his coma. The doctors said it was a medical miracle but he doesn't believe it. His mind was always awake, sooner or later he would've waken up. That also meant he remembered almost everything everyone told him while he wasn't awake.

He was staring through the window in his parents' house thinking. Turns out having a son in coma for five years made his father think again about his relationship with Blaine. They weren't close, for Blaine it didn't feel like five years and he would never forgive him. He never finished high school but he didn't care, nothing mattered anymore really. He lost five years of his life and he could never have them back, and he had lost the love of his life in those five years.
