The rest of today was long. Thanks to a senior and young Mr. Ryans' argument this morning. Mr. Ryans has been cracking the whip on everybody today, especially me. There was even a time today. I almost wanted to cry. Scratch that, I actually did cried in the girl's bathroom. In the whole two years, I have worked here. Kendrick Ryans has never made me want to cry. There have been days I have wanted to punch him in the face but never cry. Therefore, I'm glad that this day is over.

Stapling the paperwork that senior Mr. Ryans sent over. It was on a bunch of different women. Not low-class women, but women of high-class. Women that would fit the profile of being an amazing wife. Not like the women Kendrick Ryans hangs out with. Just looking at these papers makes me wonder. What did senior Mr. Ryans say to young Mr. Ryans?

Placing the papers into their own file. Placing the women's names on them. With their last names first, then they're first. Gathering all the files all up. I head to Mr. Ryans's office. Knocking on the door, hearing a 'come in.'

Entering the office, Mr. Ryans was sitting at his desk. With his elbows on his desk and his hands covering his face. He looked very stressed out. He places his hands down on his desk and looks at me.

"I got the paperwork your Father sent over. All organized, stapled, and their own files, sir." Telling him why I am here.

"Just put them on the desk, Miss Ross." He says, softly and a little annoyed.

"Yes, sir." Placing them on his desk. "Can I go home now, Sir?"

"Your excused." Walking out of his office and gathering my things.

Heading to the elevator to get out of this place. The only thing is I couldn't leave just yet. Even though Mr. Ryans is a complete asshole. I couldn't leave. Not knowing if he was okay or not. Turning back around, gathering some courage. Walking back into his office. He was already looking at the files.

"Mr. Ryans?" Asking him confidently. He looks up at me with his reading glasses on. All the courage I gather up ran away.

"I thought you left?.." He asks, a little confused and rudely.

"I was on my way, Sir. But um.. um.." This was such a bad idea. "I was wondering if everything was okay?, Sir."

He just sat there looking at me with no emotion on his face. He slightly tilts his head like he was thinking about something. While doing so, my knees felt like jelly from all this. 'Why is he looking at me like that?' thinking to myself. He slightly smiles at me mischievously. Not in the creepy way, but away I can't explain. Which gave me the butterflies for some weird reason.

"Go home, Miss Ross, for tomorrow we have another long day." He says a little more politely.

"Of course, sir." Heading towards the door and placing my hand on the knob.

"Sir?" Turning back around. His attention was still on me. "Whatever is bugging you. I hope things are okay. Have a goodnight, Mr. Ryans." With that said, I leave the office building.

Paying the cab driver, I get dropped off. At a small hardware store building called Mrs. Callie's. Walking into the store. It looked like any cute small hardware store would look like. Walking towards the bathrooms to change my clothes. An older woman stops me.

"Jenna, honey, are you okay? You look exhausted." Mrs. Callie asks me.

"I'm fine. Just had a long day at the office today." Trying to reassure her.

"Don't tell me that Ryans's guy was hard on you again?"

"It is alright, Mrs. Callie. I can handle my other boss."

"If you say so, dear... I will let you get changed. See you on the store floor." She walks away and leaves to the store floor.

I really love Mrs. Callie. She reminds me a lot of my grandma. My grandma was one of the best people in the world. When my parents died. In a horrible car accident when I was younger. Grandma took me and my older brother Neil in. So we didn't end up in the foster system. Like most people, she had a dream.

Her dream was to own her own bed-and-breakfast inn. So that she could cook and give people a place to stay. It all sounded so great the way she talked about it. Even made me want to have one of my own. But she couldn't fulfill that dream. After the year, I graduated from college. She got really ill and passed away. My brother moved to a different country. We didn't keep in touch.

Because grandma and I shared the same dream. I decided to make our dream come true. That is why I work two jobs to help save up enough for it. Mrs. Callie tries to help all she can to help earn money. There even times, she would ask if I would help her. With her yard or housework to earn money. She would have Mr. Callie do it, but he, too, was no longer around. As for my arrogant boss, Kendrick Ryans. I haven't even told him. That I have a second job or about my grandma, and I dream. Once fully changed out of my nice clothes. Into some jeans, a t-shirt, and some tennis shoes. I get to work on stocking the shelves and helping customers.

Can this day get any worse than it already is? First, Father comes here, acting like he still runs the place. Demanding that if I don't get married. He's going to take the company away from me. That he would give it to my younger brother Nathaniel. Who is already married and has two kids. Which also wants nothing to do with the huge business world. The only thing he would accept from Father. Was the art gallery's the Ryans owns. Because he got his master's degree in art. Does Dad really think Nathaniel will accept taking over?

Why does it matter if I'm married or not? Can't Dad be happy that I even took over all his companies? Can't he see I want nothing to do with a long relationship? I have learned my lesson from being in a relationship. It is all nice in the beginning until you get comfortable with one another. That when the relationship turns into nothing but crap. If only there were a way to avoid all the heartbreak in this forced marriage? To make it like a business deal as I have with my week girls. I don't have the answer right now, but I will find one. Until then, I have an entire month. To figure it out until I have to get married.

Another thing that sucks about this whole marriage thing. Is that my wife has to be pregnant with in the first year of our marriage? It doesn't matter when as long as she is pregnant by the end of the year. Why does Father have it set this way? Simple, really, to give me an heir to own the company for when I retire. This whole marriage thing is the first worst thing that has happened today.

The second worst part of today was. I accidentally made my Secretary cry. In all honesty, I didn't mean to make her cry. I'm a hardass on everyone at work a little more towards her. Only because she is my secretary. I need her as professional as possible. What really impressed me is that she didn't cry in front of me or quit. I wouldn't blame her if she wanted to quit. Or not even come in to work tomorrow from my behavior. I hope she doesn't because Jennifer is one of the best secretaries I have ever had.

She puts up with a lot from me, and for that, I'm grateful. Though I probably won't let her or anyone know that. Another thing about Jennifer. She makes my life a little easier. She is nothing like most other girls around this building or city. Which makes working with her a lot easier.

I'm not excited about work tomorrow. Only because my interviews to find a wife start. Taking a deep breath and letting out my breath, fogging the window up. It's raining outside and not to mention cold because it's night. I just got done having sex with my Thursday night girl, Kelly. Now I'm looking out my front room window watching it rain. Trying to figure out what to do about this marriage thing.

"Kendrick, Babe?" A woman's voice asks.

"What, Kelly?" Asking with my back towards her. A little annoyed, she hasn't left yet. Still keeping my attention outside of my window.

"Do you mind if we have another round before I leave?"

"Go home, Kelly." Commanding her. I could hear her huff and stomp her heels down the hallway.
