Tokoyami's POV
As I begin to regain consciousness after sleeping I feel strange. Like something is missing. I look around my room while searching my mind for what that could be. Then it hits me. Where's Shoji? I know Shoji well enough to know that if he left while I'm asleep, that he would leave a note. But what's even more strange is that his phone is still in my room. Why? I check my phone to call him and I see that I got a text from an unknown number. I check what it says,
Unknown Number: Fumikage, this is your mother. How dare you talk to me like that and block me?! As punishment, the league took something that you love. Your precious little boyfriend. Mezo Shoji. If you want to see him again. Come to the League Of Villains HQ as fast as you can. Then, you will join us. If that happens, your boyfriend will be safe. Don't bring any heroes with you or tell anyone about this. Or he dies! I'll see you soon. XO
W-What?! I started sobbing at the sight of this message. Why him. Why. Why. Why, was all I could think at that moment. But, I have to rescue him. I will give up my dream of being a hero for him. So, I slip on a black t-shirt, hoodie and shoes. I also put on some dark denim jeans. I've always hated hoodies because I don't like the way they feel on my bird-shaped head. But, I have to be sneaky, and no one can see me. So, I'll have to wear one. I pick up mine and Shoji's phones and get ready to leave.
"Fumi, are you sure you want to do this?" Dark Shadow says coming out of me without command.
"I've never been so sure Dark Shadow. Don't try to stop me." I respond to him with no emotion on my face.
"Ok. I just wanted to check." He mumbles as he retreats back into me.
I check outside my room to see if anyone would spot me. Thankfully, no one was there. So, quietly and carefully I walk out of my room and towards the elevators. Ding. The elevator sounds. Almost telling me good luck. I'm probably going to need it.
When I reach the bottom floor I see some people hanging out. To my surprise, they don't notice me and I'm able to succsessfully leave the dorms with anyone spotting me. The gate comes into view and I know that I'm close. I'm scared about what they are going to do. But, I will get Shoji back. Even if it's the last thing I do.
