Monique's POV

Our means of transportation was still Shimmer. It was supposed to be a carriage that Dorothy prepared for us but Haechan kindly declined the offer. With Shimmer, we arrived in Prism Island in no time.

Since Prism Island was indeed an island, we have to cross its Rainbow Waters to get to the main land. Shimmer was able to walk on water and we set foot on the popular tourist spot.

Haechan and I bid goodbye to her and went to the center of the island. "Hello, good morning! Welcome to Prism Island! I am Arienna, the manager of the place. May I get your names?" A girl with blonde hair popped up in front of us from out of nowhere.

"Uhm, Haechan and Monique." The male said beside me. Her face lit up when she heard our names. "Ooh! Princess Dorothy's special guests! You two are most welcome here and have free access to anything, no need to pay. Enjoy!" She said and left us.

"She's a fairy, isn't she?" I asked Haechan as we walked to the Prism Beach. I saw him nod. "Yeah. I wonder where her wings are." He mumbled and later on, we saw the colorful pool in the distance.

I feel my eyes sparkle because of the view. "Holy macaroni!" I exclaimed and went down to meet the rainbow sand of the beach. "Hey, Monique, wait up!" I heard Haechan call behind me. I took off my shoes and let my feet feel the rainbow sand.

I pinched the sand and looked at Haechan behind me. "Is this really edible?" I asked. He nodded. I tossed it into my mouth. "Oh my God, it tastes like candy~." And that was just the red-colored sand.

I took a pinch of the pink one and it tastes like cotton candy. The mint green color tastes like mint and the purple tasted like grapes. When I looked behind me, I saw that I've gone too far from Haechan.

"Be careful, Monique!" Haechan shouted from where he was standing. "I will!" I replied back and went near the shore. The water was so colorful, every wave of it is a different hue.

With the shoes in my hands, I stepped my feet in the water. I played with the wet sand using my toes. The water was cold and it felt funny but in a good way. I splashed water using my hands, but I didn't go too deep or far away.

I felt the wind brush through me, letting my dress flow with it. "I see you're having fun." I turned around and saw Haechan picking maroon sand from his palm. "What's that?" I asked.

He raised his hand filled with the sand. "Oh, this? Popping candy. They're like fireworks when they get in your mouth." He said. I walked in front of him and ate a pinch of the sand.

"Mmh!" Haechan chuckled at my reaction. It does sound like fireworks are inside. I opened my mouth and leaned it to his ear. "Do you hear it?" I asked. "Yes, I do." He replied.

I took a handful from his hand and put it all inside my mouth. I closed my eyes when the sand frenzied around. "This is fun." I said, my cheeks puffed. I walked ahead and continued enjoying my own company.

I pick maroon sands every now and then to taste the strawberry-flavored fireworks. I danced around like I'm some five-year-old and played with the water that seems to be glinting and winking at me.

Later on, I heard Haechan call me from a distance, saying that I should take a break. I brushed the sand off my feet and put my shoes back on before running to where he was.

Haechan was standing under the roof of a small bar. I walked next to him and followed on sitting on a bamboo stool. "What drink would you two like?" The bartender said with the name 'Basil'. "Emerald soda for me." I said while playing with my hair.

"Same goes for me," Haechan told Basil and he started serving us our drinks. "Are you having fun?" Haechan suddenly asked. I nodded. "Yeah, but there are only a few people around. You're the only company I have and you don't ride with my weirdness."
