Monique's POV

We went inside the house after our talk and Elyas tailed behind us. Haechan began to cook for us and I asked him to teach me so. He let me and we started on simply frying a fish.

I never want to cook fish again.

"My God!" I screamed and put the pot cover over my head so that the boiling oil won't leave a spot on my skin. Haechan continued to laugh and rolled over the floor, clutching his stomach.

I rolled my eyes. Is this one of the reasons why I fell for him or no? "If you're not going to help me out, I'm jumping on a high place again." I said aloud and he immediately stood up when he heard it.

He put the fish on a plate and turned off the fire. "For a scared cook, the fish was fried well." I put the cover down near the sink and a grin sweeped on my lips when I saw that it was just cooked right.

I cheered for myself and hit his stomach. "Come on, let's eat!" Haechan chuckled at my attitude. I became even more comfortable around him that I told him about my past and because I took notice of my feelings for him.

Haechan and I sat down on our chairs and started to eat. When he took a bite of it, he suddenly laughed. My mouth was full when I glared at him. "What are you laughing at?" I pouted and he waved his hand.

"Nothing. This came out much tastier than I expected." What he said made me smile and we both continued on consuming our share. After we were done, I washed the dishes and I didn't need any assistance from him anymore.

In the middle of drying the plates, I looked at Haechan and asked, "So, what are we going to do now that we're done going around a few kingdoms?" He folded his arms and smiled. "You asked me to teach you to catch criminals, right?"

I nearly dropped the glass I was holding. He remembered, and he promised. "You remembered?" He smiled and stood up, putting his hands on my shoulders. "Of course, I did. And it was a promise I secretly kept,"

Haechan raised brow. "Do you want me to teach you my ways of fighting and catching bad guys?" He chuckled. I nodded immediately. "Okay, in one condition," He suddenly squinted his eyes and then it sparkled. "Teach me swordsmanship."

"What?"

"You used your swordsmanship skills that I didn't know you had in defeating the red ants. You were so cool!" He was jumping up and down now, making his hair bounce. I smiled at what he was doing.

I shrugged. "Oh, Mark taught me that. Was I good?" He hugged me then lifted me up. "You were great! Are you kidding me?" I rolled my eyes, chuckling. "Hey, don't just bring me up like that or else my heart is going to drop." I said and finished drying the last plate.

I placed it in the holder and closed it. I turned to him and sighed. "Fine, I'm going to teach you, but you're doing the same for me. Deal?" I held out my hand. He shook it excitedly. "And we might want some swords to start it."

"Don't worry. I'm guessing you already know what's inside my bedroom?" He asked. I slyly smiled and nodded. "I guess I do. At first, I was scared of them but you're using them to defeat Evil so there's no use of being afraid."

He smiled and nodded. "I think I kept two inside. I'll look into it." Haechan said and opened the door to his bedroom. "Good. When do we start tomorrow?" He looked up and thought. "When I say so." He grinned.

I just pouted with my arms folded across my chest. He patted my head. "You should sleep. Good night." I nodded. "Night. Sweet dreams, don't let the bed bugs bite." He chuckled at my last remark before entering his room.
