Part 13

Coras POV. 

i woke up in Newts arms, his breaths steady, his face looks completely calm from whats happening all around us, Newt then stretches out and looks down at me before kissing me and getting comfortable in the bed before squinting his eyes open a bit.

"morning" i spoke quietly as Newt wrapped his arms around me bringing me closer. he kept his eyes shut for a bit before mumbling out a "morning" in his morning voice, hearing him in the morning sent shivers up my spin.

i sat up making him lose his grip around my torso, he groaned a little before rolling over, i went over to the window to see if chuck was giving thomas breakfast when i noticed the sky was grey, i placed my hands on the window.

"Newt come here, Now!" i said swiftly hearing Newt creaking the bed as he got out of it and joined me by my side, he gripped my waist before i pointed up to the sky. Newt rushed out of the room throwing on a pair of pants. i ran out after him not bothering to change since his top is a dress on me.

"Newt, what the hell is happening?" i ask before we were soon standing in the middle of the glade, other gladers waking up and Noticing the runners all gathered around Newt asking questions, Minho smirked at me before his attention went back to the sky.

"The Greenies, all this Klunk started happening when the 3 Greenies came day after day...they did something!" yelled one of the runners before the attention was soon thrown to me and i threw my hands up shaking my head.

"i have no shucking idea whats going on..." i stated before looking around, the runners all headed to the doors and thomas met Minho at theirs, it looked like Minho asked him something before he shrugged and they took off.

"did something happen between those 2 in the gathering?" i questioned Newt, he shook his head before grabbing my hand and taking me to the dinning area. we sat at one of the empty benches facing each other once we collected out apples.

"actually now i think about it i havent seen Gally since that gathering, things got pretty intense." he bit into his apple i watched thinking about everything.

someone triggered the ending 

i looked up for a second trying to remember more about that memory, but it just slipped away as fast as it came i slowly bit my my apple before putting my hair up in a ponytail. i watched Newts hand as i thought before he reached over and intertwined them with mine.

"this isnt something you have to think about okay, it'll all be over soon" i nodded, we sat there for about 7 minutes finishing off our apples before Teresa came bursting in and sat next to me whispering something in my ear.

"Cora, Tom and Minho found a way out maybe...they call it the griever hole." i pulled away and looked at he eyebrows raised before she nodded and went away. Newt raised one of his eyebrows and i shook my head, he'd learn soon enough.

once we'd finished we kind of just went to work in the Gardens, everyone was silent...probably all in thought at how the once beautiful sunny sky was just a dull grey. i realised a problem with this, the crops wont grow without the sun, i stopped completely starring at one of the sprouting crops. someone touched my shoulder and it was winston.

"whats up winston?" i asked turning around, he just kind of shrugged he walked off and nodded his head for me to follow, i dropped my rake causing Zart to complain but i didnt care.

"uh has Newt told you anything? i mean were all confused about this situation." Winston scratched the back of his hair before slapping his hand down. i shook my head looking down at the ground.

"he's just as confused as you all are, not to mention stressed about alby" Winston nodded before waving me off and heading back to the blood house. i jogged back over to the gardens before i heard screams from the homestead. i looked at Newt and he stared back we sprinted off towards the Homestead.

"what the hell is bloody going on" Newt yelled to me as we ran, i didnt know but when we burst in to Albys room Jeff and clint were trying to Pin him down, i grabbed a leg and tried to pin him down. Alby was yelling at the top of his voice.

"I remember them, Teresa, Cora and Thomas! all of them i remember! the world is dying and they helped it!" he yelled his eyes glazed over with hatred, Minho and Thomas burst through the door at that moment pushing him down more.

"Alby calm down, explain it carefully!" Newt yelled back, he shook his head over and over until he spoke about the world burning to nothing, that its not safe for anyone. Minho took the leg i held from me and thomas Pushed me out of the room.

i banged on the door before slidding down on the wall next to the room listening in, suddenly everyone left the room except Thomas, i stood up and looked at Newt, he shrugged as the rest just went back to what they were doing before.

"does this happen everytime someone goes through the changing?" i laughed before Newt sighed and smirked.

"Not every time but usually a lot" he spoke looking at me sideways before we head thomas yell from inside, we went in the room to see alby Chocking himself and thomas was pulling at his arm and Newt at the other. soon alby stopped and looked to be peaceful again, he sat up gasping for breaths.

"i cant tell you anymore" Alby looked at thomas before we all left leaving alby to rest for the rest of the day. me and Newt just wondered around the Glade talking and thinking of funny things Minho has sassed people around them with.

(i realise that i might've done the sky and alby thing the wrong way around and thomas being out but roll with it okay, im hitting myself for the mistake too.)

"Newt, did thomas tell you what Alby told him?" i asked once we'd sat on the grass for 10 minutes of silence.

"Nah the shank wont spill anything" he grinned and i smiled, Newt lifted his hands up showing a flower crown of daisies. he placed it on my head before kissing my nose.

"all hail the queen of the glade" Newt mocked and i played with a royal wave before i called Newt a dirty peasant and he tackled me to the ground before laying his full weight on top of me.

"Newt no, Guards, the dirty peasant is touching me" i laughed out and Newt leaned up smirking.

"thats not what you said last night" i blushed and Newt kissed my cheeks before hopping off and helping me up, since it'd gotten late we headed to the dining area and grabbed some dinner, i chatted to Frypan explain Albys yells before Minho dragged me away to sit with Newt and the rest.

"Guys, so Me and Thomas noticed that The maze hasnt really changed and im sure the others noticed it too, this place is becoming shucked up." minho spoke pointing his fork at the maze, just as Minho did some stood up and looked at a runners watch.

"The shucking doors arent shutting!"
