A/N - WHOOOA I'm sorry I didn't update these last like three days...I got super busyyy (BUT I ALSO SAW MOCKINGJAY AND OMG ASDFHSKAGAOUVB)

Newt's POV

After I had explained what had happened to Autumn and Minho, I had gone to bed. I didn't even want to begin to think about what the shuck girl means. I didn't want to imagine all the horrible things that could happen, or the fact that Tommy might be connected, or that there will be no more Greenies, or...

I squeezed my eyes shut tight, and pushed my head into my pillow. Stop. I'm not thinking about it until tomorrow. I argued at my brain. I tried to rid myself of any unpleasant thoughts and to do so I thought about things that made me happy...actually someone...actually Autumn. I saw her, the way her hair falls over her thin shoulders, or her big brown doe eyes, or the way she squeezes her hands when she's nervous. I felt all the stress of today's events melt away, replaced by memories of Autumn. I remembered when we had first met...she had practically run me over. I smiled to myself. I let my mind replay scenes of her until I drifted off into a warm sleep.

I was dreaming of her, but this was unlike any dream I've ever had. It wasn't a memory, it wasn't a thought. I had no idea where this dream had come from. Even with my bloody memory being wiped I knew I had never experienced something like this in my whole life.

        Snow.

We were alone. I had a gloved hand in Autumn's and she was pulling me along with the excitement of a puppy. I smiled at the back of her jacket, it was a deep pine green colour that blended into the sky around us. I ignored the icy burns of the snow as we quite literally trudged through the snow. The white powder went just above my knees, and around her mid-thighs; causing her to jump a little with each step. I watched her hair bounce under her toque and swish against her jacket. It was dark. The untouched snow glistened in the moonlight...it made it look like we were walking through a bunch of tiny diamonds. It made me wonder where we were. I broke my stare on Autumn and looked around. There were trees surrounding us, dead and dark, with limbs outstretched as if awaiting prey. But there was something about her, like she warded off all the bad and just emanated good. Nothing was dangerous if she was here, I was safe with her.

"Where are we going," I finally broke the silence to ask her. She whipped around to face me, a huge smile that stretched all the way to her rosy cheeks displayed on her face. The red hairs that framed her face had frozen to a matte white-grey colour. Somehow it just made her look more entrancing. She scrunched up her nose in the I-know-something-you-don't kind of way and smiled again.

"You have to wait and see." She finally replied in a sing-song voice. She turned back around, her toque had shifted a little on her head but she didn't seem to notice. My breath was came out in little white puffs with each step we took through the abandoned forest. I breathed in the smell of pine, heard the soft hooting of an owl from a nearby tree and turned my head to look for it. My eyes danced through the branches, watching as falling snow settled on the limbs. Autumn stopped and I bumped into her. She laughed and told me to close my eyes. I did, letting her guide me through the snow...possibly tripping a few times on the way. I felt her hand leave mine and a sense of panic spread through me, like a grass fire beginning to catch.

My eyes shot open immediately. But there she was sitting right in front of me....in a chair? The snow had been cleared away  to form a little circle and two chairs had been placed inside. She smiled at me and pressed a button. The world around me lit up, in golds, reds and greens. Fairy lights hung from everything. The colours sparkled on the snow, giving it an ever changing kaleidoscope effect. They were tied on the tree branches, wrapped around the trunks, and even suspended in the air from one tree to another. I couldn't help it, I felt my mouth hang open and a smiled form.

"Did you do this?" I asked, the awe very audible in my voice. She giggled before replying.

        "Maybe."

        "It's amazing."

        "I know..."

A/N - I have no idea what inspired this but it happened...

Also if you were wondering hair really does freeze like that and it's kinda amazing because I have a red head friend and all her hair freezes and it makes her look like a granny and yeah...just thought I'd share that wonderful piece of information....

Also if you get the title (because I have underlying references in everything) I love you
