A/N - Okay so I have a lot to say so sorry if this note is long...
So first of all hi, its me Susanna and I've decided to change my profile picture to my face because I really like it when you can see people's faces cause then it's like "look at you, look how cute your face is, look that's a human being reading this story" and idk I just find it really nice so I decided that you guys should see oh look a human being is writing the story too (except I normally have glasses on but whatever) (and I thought the picture kinda looked like the cover for the Glitch and I got excited)
Second I've been meaning to say this for a long time but I shall now. You guys can comment on any chapter, even if it was from weeks ago. I'll look at it, and appreciate it all the same. It just seems like some of you don't comment or are afraid to comment because it was a while ago but don't worry, please do in fact. I love your guys's comments, they make my day! :)
Also CONNOR FRANTA OMG! I'M SO PROUD OF HIM OMG I'M SCREAMING!
Briar's POV (Also keep in mind this happens the day Thomas gets sent so Teresa isn't in the Glade yet)
I had only been in the WICKED building for a few days, and I had been in no more than three rooms. All of them looked similar, lined with computers and technology that I didn't understand, dark walls with fluorescent blue lighting. That's how all the room's were, (well the few I had been in) except the one I had woken up in...that was white as snow and without any unnatural lighting.
Which is where I was sitting now. I felt the soft cushion of my bed underneath my simple clothes; jeans and a t-shirt, nothing very official, no uniform, not even a badge or something. Just me. Teresa told me I had been "saved", taken away from the Maze and the Grievers and all the dangers...but I wasn't so sure. The longer I was here the more I was regretting everything. I shouldn't have listened to those shuck voices in the first place! If I had just ignored them and just saw that Autumn wasn't dangerous I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be alone.
Of course I wasn't actually alone, there was a lot of staff that seemed to work here. It's not like they had been ignoring me, actually the opposite. They wanted me to do jobs for them, run tests, make observations. It was strange. It was like they expected me to just know how to do all those things, and what freaked me out the most was I think I did...know how to use the machines I mean. My first day here they asked me to use a microscope. I shouldn't have been able to use a microscope. I didn't have any memories of using a microscope that advanced. Yet somehow I knew how to use the microscope. I'm sure it shocked me as much as them.
A bunch of little stuff like that kept happening, stuff that was unsettling and foreign for me, it just didn't seem like that for the rest of the world. I mean no one else except me is freaked out by my ability to use a shucking microscope! The weirdest thing happened today though...
The door to my room swung open and in walked Teresa. Her black hair waved over her shoulders, the tips just fell over her sweater.
"Briar." Her tone was serious, my eyes flickered up until they were staring into hers. The electric blue added a very dramatic effect to the conversation. "Do you remember Autumn?" I laughed. What kind of question was that. Of course I remembered Autumn. She was only the whole reason I had shucked up so badly.
"Was that a serious question?" I replied to Teresa, who had stepped into my room and began walking towards me.
"Very. And good, you're going to need to tell us as much about her as you can remember and more." I raised an eyebrow at Teresa. Why did WICKED care so much about Autumn? I looked skeptically towards her before responding.
