Kumurap-kurap ang mga mata ko, hindi lubos na makapaniwala sa presensiyang nakikita sa aking harapan. My heart is palpitating recklessly and I don't even know how to make this stop!

Paanong... narito siya? Ako ba ang sadya niya dito? Baka naman may iba siyang pinuntahan at aksidenteng nakita niya lang ako. Everyone is allowed to visit Switzerland and Zadriel ain't an exception. Pero kahit na! Of all the beautiful places here in this country, sa Lauterbrunnen pa talaga? Puwede namang sa Grinderwald o kaya naman sa Zermatt. Puwede rin sa Zurich!

Drilling those familiar obisidian eyes on me, I know that I'm not really imagining things right now. We both stared at each other for a little while before I decided to back out first and proceeded to the bread trays.

Muli akong kumuha ng panibagong bread tong dahil ang naunang ginamit ay nahulog na. With a pounding heart, I picked some of the breads even though I don't really intend to buy them.

Uh, shit!

Zadriel's playful chuckle once again resonated in my ears. Napalunok ako roon, aminadong matagal na hinanap-hanap ang tunog ng mga halakhak niya.

"Panic buying?" he asked between his playful chuckle.

Hindi ako sumagot, nananatiling pinagmumukhang abala ang sarili sa pagkuha ng mga tinapay.

"I want that bread, too." he added.

"Ubos na. Pumili ka na lang ng iba."

"Ayoko ng iba."

"Wala ka ng choice-"

"Meron..." pigil niya sa akin.  "Kung pagbibigyan mo ako."

Natigil akong muli sa ginagawa. Somehow, I feel like those words were meant to be said for another reason... for some personal reason.

"I won't give you a choice." I said and proceeded to Mr. Noah who's busy fiddling with his calculator. Nang maramdaman ang presensya ko ay nag angat siya ng tingin sa akin at matamis na ngumiti.

"Sie kaufen viel!" he said with a gigantic smile after noticing my tray.

"Ich liebe dein Brot so sehr. deshalb." I said when he told me that my tray is full. Totoo namang gusto ko ang mga gawa niyang tinapay. Iyon nga lang, hindi naman sana ganito karami ang bibilhin ko. Pero dahil sa presensiya ni Zadriel sa likuran ko ay bigla akong nawala sa sarili.

Uh, damn it. I got it so bad too, huh?

Mr. Noah smiled ang glanced behind me. It's just the right time when I smelled the asshole's scent again. Mas lumawak pa ang ngiti ng matanda habang nasa gilid ko ang paningin.

"You didn't like any of my breads, young man?" Mr. Noah asked.

"I like them but apparently, she already got what I really want. She didn't leave some for me." Zadriel answered playfully.

My eyes rolled skyward.

"Oh! Which one? I can offer you another—"

"But I want her..." Zadriel snapped him out by those words that made me hold my breath. Nanglaki ang mga mata ko habang napapatingin kay Mr. Noah na nakataas ang kilay at may nakakalokong ngisi sa labi nya. "I mean, I want the bread she has."

Muling umikot ang mga mata ko sa kisame. I tightened my grip on the tray and released a exasperated sigh.

Puwede bang mamaya na sila magusap at tanggapin muna ni Mr. Noah itong bayad ko nang sa ganoon ay makaalis na ako. Pakiramdam ko ay may apoy sa gilid ko at kaunti na lang ay masusunog na ako.
