"Well, someone's up early." I groggily said, evident that I just woke up.

I rubbed my puffy eyes as I stretched my arms, yawning for the eight time this morning. Mia always wakes up later than me, so it's surprising to see her up and going before me.

Mia was in the middle of multitasking between making banana pancakes and brewing coffee when I caught her humming to Taylor Swift's "Lover" in the kitchen.

The whole entire house smelled like actual good mornings because of the aroma's dispersion coming from the kitchen. The birds tweeted on the big old Oak Tree right in front of our house and the sun shined brightly through the windows, permeating rainbow lights due to the window decal Mia attached awhile ago.

This whole energy made me want to stay in and just read books for the entirety of the day, but my schedule said "No," with a heart emoji.

Mia laughs softly as she flipped the pancakes from the pan, "I figured I'd tag along with you for today." She says in a cool manner, like it wasn't a big deal.

I looked at her with wide eyes, and may I say that my smile was just as wide as a beluga whale?

"And for what reason?" I giddily asked and poked her sides as she tried to keep her malicious smile from me.

I already knew why she wanted to tag along. Mr. Bingley has been one of Mia's suitors for God knows how long, but she just never thought their 'status' would ever be compatible in this toxic society we live in. It drives me crazy that Mia lets society decide who is for her and who is not for her.

It's maddening.

"Because I've got nothing to do today, since it's a Saturday. So I thought it'd be a great time for us to hang out." She explains, trying to make me believe in her thin white lies as she placed three pancakes on top of each other and plates them with whipped cream, powdered sugar and some strawberries on the side.

I didn't mind tho, the whole lovey-dovey aura she's got going on. It's entertaining to see her like this, even if I already saw this version of Mia a bunch of times, repetitively. Although, it's been awhile, and I miss seeing Mia in love again, and hopefully with the right man this time.

"Sure, Mia." I shrugged my shoulders and rolled my eyes at her in a light-hearted manner.

We began to devour her signature banana pancakes that are seriously to die for while we endlessly talked about different ideas for the release of my book. It still feels so surreal, my whole entity is still trying to sink it all in.

"For real tho," I broke the silence after swallowing the pancake, "Are you giving this a chance?" I asked.

Mia shrugged, "I don't know." She lightly sighs, "I'm not going to force whatever this is, that's for sure. If this is what the universe wants then I'll just follow along."

I nodded and smiled at her, "And if you need anything, you can count on me." I said, "But not for love advice, I suck at that."

Mia busts into laughter, "Oh, yeah, I know that. Don't worry." She giggles and we both continue our morning preparing for today's agenda.

"Yeah, of course."

"No, it's alright! I understand."

"Yeah, I'll stand by. Goodbye, Mr. Bingley."

Just as we were about to head out the door, ready to travel to what was supposed to be our original destination, Mr. Bingley rang our telephone (because we like to keep it old school here) to inform us that we should just do today's work in his place, which is not that far from our original destination.
