Peter sometimes found it hard to be happy when most of the time his parents ignored him, whenever he asked them to play they would brush him off and claim that he shouldn't bother them . Shortly before his fifth birthday, his parents disappeared and never came back. He was then sent to live with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, he found himself alot happier with them, they played with him and never ignored him unless they were really busy, still he always felt like something was missing. At night he would have dreams of a man with brown hair and glasses talking with him and calling him buddy, he didn't know who the man but felt as if he was an important person he should never forget. Whenever he was up in his room alone with his spider plushie he would talk with it as if it we're the man he saw in his dreams. "Okay dream man, please tell me who you are I want too know, " Peter said to the spider plushie, he laughed as if the spider answered him "you have very funny glasses dream man can I wear them? " he asked grabbing his own pair of glasses since he needed them to see, "great thanks dream man, I can't remember who you are but I think I'll find out one day. " Peter said placing the glasses on his face, "Peter darling, come down and eat! " Aunt May called and Peter instantly came down, "what's for dinner? " He asked innocently "your favorite, pasta, " May said handing her nephew a plate, on the TV Peter could see that Tony Stark was giving a press conference. He thought Tony was super cool, and he was relieved too hear that he was alright after missing for so long. "Uncle Ben can you turn up the volume, I wanna hear Mr. Stark, " Peter insisted as he took mouthfuls of his pasta "sure thing kiddo as long as you stop trying to talk and eat at the same time. " Ben said as he grabbed the remote and turned the volume up, Peter eagerly watched the whole thing and was surprised when Tony Stark said "the truth is, I am Iron man. " Peter gasped in shock, was it even possible for Tony Stark to get even cooler then he already was, apparently yes because he was the superhero that Peter had instantly been drawn too the second he appeared to the public. "Wow this is so cool, Mr. Stark is Iron Man!" Peter exclaimed, he had always felt some kind of connection to Tony for as long as he could remember. But he wasn't sure why, yes the guy was famous and everyone loved him okay most people did, and yet everytime Peter saw him, a feeling he couldn't explain went through his body. Something about the guy just made him feel so happy, which was odd because he was sure Tony Stark had no idea that he even existed. "Peter please don't talk with food in your mouth, that's rude, " May said "sorry Auntie I just really love seeing Mr. Stark, he makes me feel happy and safe. " Peter said blushing with embarrassment, at school a boy in his class made fun of him because of his glasses and his liking of Tony Stark. "I see that sport, maybe you'll be lucky enough to meet him one day. " Ben said and Peter's eyes lit up with joy "really are you serious? " He asked
"It's possible sweetie but you never know, now have you done all your homework? " May asked and Peter nodded "good then after dinner you should get into your pj's and don't forget to put your inhaler by your bedside in case you need it in the night. " May instructed "yes Auntie May, " Peter said placing his now empty plate in the sink and running upstairs, ever since a year ago when he got really sick he had been left with asthma like symptoms and needed an inhaler from time to time. Flash loved teasing him about it, but that was nothing new, the boy was always mean. Later that night Peter was still beaming with excitement
"I can't wait for the day that I get too meet Tony Stark, I bet he's even more amazing in real life. " Peter exclaimed from his bed as Ben tried to get him to settle down so he would fall asleep, "I know kiddo but to get there you'll need to be very well rested. " Ben said giving him his stuffed spider and tucking him in "but I'm not sleepy, " Peter said yawning, "yes you are, " Ben said and then in seconds Peter was out like a light. Like usual in his dreams, he saw the dream man only this time he looked sad, "no sad, " he heard himself say and then felt himself hug the man. The rest of the dream he couldn't recall, all he remembered was the man's sad face.
