Chapter fourteen: Father and son

Tony had received the message just as he had reached Oscorbs industries and he was beyond terrified, he had to save Peter from whatever that black substance was. 'Now I kinda wish that I had brought back up, ' he thought to himself, but there was no time for self doubt, he had a huge dilemma, he knew that Doctor Octopus would use his technology for evil which is why he shut down the weapons facility of his company but he couldn't just let them turn Peter into a monster, Peter was his son and he loved him more than anything else. "Boss we arrived and I'm detecting a large amount of chemicals and strange substances, " Friday said interrupting Tony's thoughts "must be where Peter is being held, give me a little juice Friday those bastards are going to pay dearly for touching my kid! " Tony yelled and then blasted the ground with his replusers until he found the hidden lab door and the ripped the door off, "I know your in here Doc come out you coward and face me! " Tony yelled, the room around him brighten up with computer screens showing Doctor Octopus's face "on the contrary Mr. Stark I don't like getting my hands dirty but I'll let you play with Venom." A large door opened and Tony was unprepared for what came out, a large bulked up and black version of Spiderman with a long tougne and sharp teeth. "You sick bastard what have you done to my son!! " Tony yelled in both pure fury and despair, he should have known this was trap. "Oh I just perfected his DNA and made him emotionless like he was meant to be, " Tony was beyond horriffed as Venom let out a terrible scream that sounded like a combonation of a wounded animal cry and the hiss of a snake ready to strike , "I'm going to kill you for this! " Tony declared but the doctor only laughed at him "I'm afraid you'll have to get through him first, " the screens went dark and without a second thought Venom attacked Tony with his black webs and causing him to go falling through a nearby wall. The injuries we're minor but his heart was shattered how was he supposed to save Peter now? He got up and avoided another attack but couldn't bring himself to fire any of his weapons in fear of hurting Peter. Venom turned to him and spoke to him with a low voice hissing on a few words "your hesssitantion will be your downfall Ssstark! " Venom hissed and then stretched out his arm and pulled Tony towards him, "come on Pete I know your in there, don't do this! " Tony begged "there is only Venom, " Venom declared and then slashed Tony across the helment with his claws causing it to almost come off "power capacity at 40%, " Friday told him and Tony grimaced there was only one way out of this, he somehow had to sepearte Peter from Venom which meant he had to fight back. "You shouldn't grab people like that, " Tony said using his iron fist to force Venom to let go of him, Venom hissed in pain and took a few steps backwards. "Your only delaying your own defeat, " "No I'm not, " Tony said holding out his hand seemingly ready to blast Venom away, but he didn't plan on doing that. Venom ran towards him like a predator but Tony flew out of the way and blasted the ground beneath Venom creating a hole. Venom let out his horrible scream again as he feel through the floor, "sorry buddy, " Tony said apologeticly as he flew after Venom who was able to land on his feet and stop his fall. Unfortunately the blast Tony had fired had also come in contact with flameable chemicals and the place around them would soon be engulfed in flames but Tony wasn't leaving without Peter, he wasn't going to lose his son again. "Listen to me that doctor injected you with something and now your under its control that's why you're trying to take me out but I know who you really are! " Tony yelled trying to get through to Peter and for a second it seemed as if it worker as Venom held his head in pain, and the black over his face faded "Dad help! " Peter frantically yelled but Venom retook control before Peter could say anything else "no you're Venom and you will destroy, " Venom hissed "you let my son go! " Tony yelled and tears welled up in his eyes but Venom attacked him again this time successfully taking his helmet off and leaving cuts on his face. Tony felt Venom pick him up by the throat "now ssstark you will die, " Venom hissed and Tony squirmed under his grip, "Peter if you.. can hear me.. know what ever happens.. I love you.. " Tony managed to squeeze out. Venom couldn't give the final squeeze and let Tony go but not before throwing him into another nearby wall and this time the impact caused Tony's chest to clench as he felt his something inside snap, Venom walked over to him and stepped onto his arc reactor causing it to break, Tony screamed in both fear for his life and pain. "Peter can't hear you, he isssss weak and we watch me kill you sssstark. " Venom hissed angrily, he could feel Peter screaming inside of him to stop hurting Tony, eager to finish the job he gave Tony a swift kick in the stomach and picked him up by the thoart again. "No more interruptionsssss, die Ssstark! " Venom yelled trying to choke the life out of his enemy but then his entire body went started to hurt and Venom could feel Peter fighting against his control. In all his pain he dropped Tony on the ground and the older man nearly feel unconscious due to lack of oxygen and his injuries. Venom screamed in pure agony as his body began to fall apart "no this is what you we're made to do! " Venom hissed but Peter was now fighting back as hard as he could "I don't care I won't let you hurt him anymore he's my Dad and despite what I am I love him! Get out! " Peter screamed and Venom countied to fade away until he was nothing but a small strand of the black substance, Peter thought about stepping on it but realized that would no good as it would just try to corrupt him. So he just kicked it away and ran to his father who was now awake but coughing harshly "Dad oh my god I'm so sorry, " Peter cried as he kneeled down next to Tony and was horriffed to see how hurt he was, he couldn't believe that he done this. Tony just started at him blanky trying to figure out if he was just imagining things or was actually seeing Peter as himself again and had just heard the kid call him Dad. At the moment though he didn't care if he had only been hearing things, he trapped Peter in a hug and refused to let him go, "hold me kid just hold me, " he practically sobbed and Peter eagerly returned it, he hadn't been hugged much in the past few years and it felt nicer then he remembered. In his fathers arm's he felt safe, and that's how he always wanted to feel, "I'm here Dad, I'm not going to let go and I'm going to get you out of here. " Peter promised,
