For the next two years Colby didn't say anything, he just let Rebecca live her life with his daughter and it was a little easier when the redhead got drafted to the other brand and he didn't have to see her. He could just carry on with his life like nothing was happening and nothing had changed.
That was until one blonde decided to make it her business.
Ashley walked up and sat next to Colby in catering, causing him to look at her confused
"What do you want?" he asked
"I want to know what is going through your head" she nodded "I mean you know you have a kid and you're just continuing to ignore her"
"Its not by choice" he shook his head
"What do you mean its not by choice?" she scoffed "You left! Rebecca told you she was pregnant and you left her to do it on her own!"
"That's not how that happened!" he yelled "I told her I needed time to think, I needed time to figure out what was going on in my life and I broke up with my girlfriend as soon as I found out and I was going to try and do the right thing, I was going to try and see where it went with her"
"Okay" Ashley nodded "and where did this go wrong?"
"She had a boyfriend by the time I came to my senses!" he yelled and Ashley looked confused
"Boyfriend? What are you talking about?"
"Fergal!" he yelled and Ashley's eyes widened and she let out a laugh
"You are so stupid!" she yelled at him "Fergal wasn't her boyfriend!" she shook her head "That's her best friend!"
"What?" he asked in a whisper and she nodded
"See, if you weren't so stupid and actually asked questions instead of jumping to your own conclusions we wouldn't be in this situation"
"And she didn't tell me by the way!" he quickly jumped in "I knew she was pregnant but at the time she didn't even know what she was going to do and she never told me that she went through with it or I would have been there, she never told me when she gave birth, she's never even told me her name"
"Remi" Ashley said quickly "Remington but she calls her Remi and she was born 3 days before Rebecca's 27th birthday" she informed and he nodded as he heard the first details about his daughter "She did text you by the way, she told you she had the baby"
"No she didn't" he shook his head
"Were you in a relationship when Remi was born?" she asked and she watched him think for a moment before he nodded
"Yeah" he nodded "and I told my girlfriend, she wasn't exactly thrilled as you can imagine"
"You sure that girlfriend of yours didn't delete the text message before you ever saw it?" she questioned
"Who are you Nancy Drew?" he questioned and the blonde shrugged
"It's not exactly a stretch" she shook her head "You two need to talk" she said to him and he nodded
"She's avoiding me"
"You're avoiding her" she retorted and she grabbed his arm and pulled him out of catering
"Where are you taking me?"
"Do you have a match tonight?" she asked and he shook his head "Good, We're going to my car"
"For what?" he asked
"You'll see" she said
It was 2AM when They pulled up to the apartment complex in Orlando. Ashley forced Colby out of the car and up the steps, she knocked on the door and heard the chains being pulled from the door and Rebecca cracked the door enough to look out and saw who it was and immediately opened the door
"Are you insane? Its 2 in the morning!" she exclaimed and she saw Colby next to her best friend "What do you want?" she asked him
"You two need to talk" Ashley stated
"Again! It is two in the morning!" Rebecca exclaimed
"Then talk in the morning! The point is you two are talking because I'm tired of dealing with this awkwardness" she said pushing Colby into the apartment and closing the door leaving the two to stare at each other
