-RECAP-

*Liam's POV*

"What do you wanna do today?" I asked. She shrugged. "Do you trust me?" I asked.

Desi stared into my eyes deeply for a minute without saying anything. She slowly began to nod, "yeah, I think I do."

I was so relieved! I kissed her cheek, grabbed her hand, and we were about to leave when someone began pounding on the door.

Chapter 4

*Desi's POV*

I had a million reasons not to trust anyone yet I trusted him. I really did and I couldn't stop myself, he was so kind and gentle and handsome and caring. Liam was perfect and I didn't understand why he was sitting here wasting all of his time on me but I decided not to question it anymore.

My thoughts were interrupted by a very loud pounding on the front door. I let go of his hand and opened it. It was Eleanor.

She barged in, "Désirée, where the hell have you been the last few days I've been worried sick!" she said quickly hugging me and then continued glaring at me waiting for an answer. I could tell she was mad by the fact that she called me by my full name.

"I'm afraid that's my fault miss," said Liam shyly, overhearing the whole conversation.

Eleanor stood there with her mouth gaping open. "El. Don't do it, don't you dare-"

But she cut me off while letting out an blood curdling scream. I saw Liam's eyes grow wide. "LIAM PAYNE! OH MY GOD!" She then looked at me and hit me.

"What'd I do?" I asked while laughing.

"You know a member of One Direction and you didn't tell me!" she shouted.

"Umm.. I kinda know all of them. Don't hit me. It's a really long story, I met him after the funeral," I said drifting off. Eleanor gave me an understanding look.

"Yeah, that's my fault again. I approached h-" Liam started.

"You hold on, I'll get to you," she said sternly pointing a finger at him and turning back to me. "How are you holding up love?"

"I'm alright, I still cry everyday. But hey, I get through it.. with help of course," I said giving Liam a small smile.

"Why haven't you called me or sent me a text? You ran off from the funeral and just disappeared."

"I-I couldn't stay there. I couldn't watch them bury him," I said starting to cry. "I had to get out so I ran."

Eleanor wrapped her arms around me, I was glad she wasn't mad. She let go and wiped the tears off my face and turned to Liam. "You sir have a lot of nerve stealing my best friend like that!"

"I didn't mean-"

Eleanor raised her hand up and he stopped talking, "thank you for keeping her in one piece," she smiled gently.

We sat down in the living room to talk when there was another knock on the door. "Who could that be now?" I thought aloud to myself. I opened the door to find the rest of the boys and they walked into the kitchen.

"Desi who is-" asked Eleanor as she walked into the kitchen but couldn't finish once she saw them.

"Plug your ears!" I demanded them.

"What?" they asked.

"PLUG YOUR EARS!"

Just as we all covered our ears Eleanor let out another shrill scream. "OH MY GOD IT'S ONE DIRECTION!"

Eleanor was about to scream again but she was in arms length of me so I firmly but not hard slapped her in the face, "you stop that.." I said sternly. Everyone burst out laughing but her, she was still in shock. I introduced her to all the boys and saved Louis for last because I knew he was her favorite. "Are you done screaming now?" She nodded. I turned to the rest of the boys, "may I ask what you're doing here?"

They all looked at each other before Harry spoke up, "Liam told us to come over.."

I looked over at Liam and he just gave me a bashful grin, one that I couldn't even pretend to be mad at. "Oh, alright. Well we can go downstairs in the theatre, Niall there are casseroles in the fridge. If you make a mess, clean it up please."

Everyone started moving around, taking off shoes and jackets. I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist and hot breath on my ear. "I hope you're not mad love. I thought they could help cheer you up too," whispered Liam as he lightly kissed my neck.

His lips on my skin made me sent shivers down my spine. "I'm not mad," I said pulling away but grabbing his hand and leading everyone downstairs.

"Desi, are you rich?" Louis asked.

I laughed, "kinda." I let the boys pick out a movie and of course they chose a scary one called 13 Ghosts. I was cuddled up with Liam and I looked over and found Eleanor hitting it off with Louis. Liam must've noticed too because with both started laughing. He looked down at me after and I kissed his nose and watched the smile fly onto his face. I then turned to watch the movie.

At every scary part I flinched and Liam just held me that much tighter. The movie ended and we were all walking upstairs because everyone was leaving. Liam and I were just standing up when Eleanor looked down at our clasped hands and then back up at Liam. "If you hurt her.. I'll cut your balls of and use them as ornaments on my Christmas tree next year.. ya got that?"

Liam nodded his head vigorously and we just stood there until she was upstairs. "She wasn't kidding was she?" he asked in a small voice.

"Nope."

"I didn't think so.. for such a small girl, she's rather scary."

I laughed, "I know, I think Louis' met his match." I looked over at him and he still looked scared. I tilted his chin down so he'd look at me. "She's not gonna cut your balls off, relax," I said playfully shoving him and running up the stairs.

I could see him chasing after me and he finally caught me when we got to the kitchen where everyone else was. He wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me up, spinning me around. "AGHH! LIAM PUT ME DOWN!" I yelled and he finally did.

"Well look at what we have here," said Harry with a cheeky smirk. "Louis I reckon there's something going on between them, what do you say?"

Louis put his hand on his chin and walked a full circle around us examining us and making me giggle. "I reckon you're right Haz, there's definitely something going on."

"Alright leave them alone," commanded Eleanor. All the boys filed out of the house except for Liam. "Lunch tomorrow?" asked Eleanor before walking out.

"Yup!"

El looked Liam up and down and walked out the door. He reached out for my hand and kissed my cheek, "you know, I really like you."

I smiled with a slight blush creeping its way onto my cheeks, "good. I like you too."

"I was wondering if you'd like to be my girlf-"

"Don't ask me that," I said cutting him off. "You deserve a great girlfriend and I know I can't be that right now." He looked disappointed and let down. I moved closer to him and tugged on the bottom of his shirt. "I still want to have a great friend that I spend everyday with and can hold hands with and kiss whenever I want," I said with a cheeky grin, gradually leaning closer to him. I let my hands crawl around Liam's neck as he smiled down at me. He gently pressed his lips to mine but I pulled him in closer to deepen the kiss. I loved the way his soft, full lips felt against mine. I couldn't help but smile which made him smile too. We both pulled back, resting out foreheads together.

Eventually we pulled away and went to bed. This time we cuddled and fell asleep, it was all too good to be true.
