What has happened

I started crying harder than before. "Diavolo.." "Shh...it's okay, we will work on it" "You think we can fix something like this?" "We can and we will". Everything outside of our words was damped down, only our words were clear to each other. I heard distant footsteps coming near and in a moment of reflex, I took Diavolo by his hand, turned him around and stopped the intruder. I gasped at the familiar faces. It was Solomon at the front, behind him Beel and Belphie, following Mammon, Levi and Asmo. Luckily Lucifer maintained himself, obviously because of one specific reason and if that reason never existed, he would have probably stormed at him with full demon force like a usual dad-type would. Most of them didn't even know the reason, they just knew that I was crying because of one specific person, this being Diavolo, and it didn't matter to them at that moment why, we would talk about that later and in private, but in this very moment, they could've ripped his whole body apart, and like I said, without knowing why. I felt safe in that moment, but I didn't want Diavolo to get hurt, it's time to set back my dogs I guess. " Y/N, get away from him.", Solomon stated, with a growling, deep voice. "Solomon, I will solve this myself, step back and let us go.". I was far beyond being nice today, I felt betrayed to a degree too, and I know, they only want the best for me, but this time I will be independent, I will bring myself safety and happiness, and I will tell myself that I'm worthy. My eyes still filled with tears, and Solomon took a step back. I passed him, making my way to the gardens.

As I was passing through the corridors, hand in hand with Diavolo, I heard the echoes of their loud complaints. "WHY DID YOU LET HIM GO WITH HER?! HAVE YOU SEEN HOW SHE LOOKED LIKE!", I heard Asmo scream. "That was the worst decision you could've made this evening!", Belphie added. I heard a small I before Lucifer's Voice cut. "Do you idiots even know her? She might've looked like the saddest human in devildom and maybe everywhere else, but she still had that determination in her eyes, that hope that everything would go alright! That you waited so long to step back was a bit questionable, but she will be alright!".

As I walked further away, their voices got quieter, I kept my smile hidden in my mind, and suddenly I felt Diavolo squeezing my hand. "Is something the matter?", I asked, only to be facepalming myself in my head. It appeared I almost forgot about the whole drama, my tears nearly dried. Diavolo instead cried more than ever, smiling through his weepy face. "You know, you scared me there. In the hall I mean. I didn't know you thou-" "Diavolo, I'm so sorry, I just was stressed and everything, and was thinking too much, again. I always oversee how much you have to do too and-" "No it was true, I heard it in your voice, I ignored you, because of how set myself up in a polite manner, and too reserved, even though I missed the contact too. Please, let us never plan a party again.".

I looked at him, tears again streaming down my face. "Oh you stupid baby, making me cry like shit today so much". I hugged him tightly. "We didn't even make it to the gardens yet.", I said jokingly, and we both started to chuckle lightly. "Nah, let dry our tears and tell Barbatos to take the night off. He should end the party. And you gonna stay with me" "No doubts of course"
