Spencer and I had been best friends since we were three. We lived in South Crenshaw all of our lives until he got the opportunity to play football for Beverly. He refused to go without me. Since they wanted him at Beverly, they accepted me too. 

Today Spencer and I were on the Crenshaw field filming a video for Chris because he was injured. Cam came and started talking in the video.

"Look at your replacement", Cam said.

"Shut up Cam", I said.

Me and Spencer watched as the new quarterback threw the ball. I looked at his face. He was super cute.

"Wheres he from", Spencer asked?

"Your pops brought him out here from Nevada", Cam said.

I could tell Spencer got angry.

Spencer and I walked to the back of the field.

"My pops left me all those years to raise another kid", Spencer yelled.

"Calm down Spencer", I said.

I hugged him and we decided to meet up with Coop and Patience at a cafe. We all ordered and began telling Coop about the new guy.

"Speaking of him look", Spencer said.

The guy walked up to us and introduced himself.

"Hey I saw you both earlier. I'm Darnell", he said.

He looked at me up and down and smirked. I felt my cheeks turn pink.

Spencer and him walked away and started talking about Corey. Coop, Patience, and I sat back down.

"Someones got a crush on Darnell", Patience said.

"Stoppp", I said getting embarrassed.

"Girl get with him", Coop said.

"Spencer would kill me", I said.

After an hour passed I had to go home. 

"Bye guys", I said to everyone.

I walked out and went to my car. Standing next to my car was Darnell.

"Hey", he said.

"Hi", I said back.

"I really think your cute and I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime", he asked?

I smiled.

"Yea I would really like that", I said.

We exchanged numbers and then he gave me a hug and left.

I smiled thinking about it and then remembered.

How would Spencer react to this??
