Mina POV

I walk into what I'm guessing is Chae's office? Gallery? Studio? Whatever it is it's impressive. I saw a slender woman on the far end of the studio, however it looked like she was busy so instead of asking her where Chaeyoung is I decided to take a look around.

Her paintings were very abstract, but pleasing to look at. The best way to describe it is organized chaos. I bet it would be interesting to know the process she goes through when painting these. Some of them convey a bright bubbly feeling, others, a sad/ dark one, and then the plain confusing ones, which makes you question things like, how and why did she even think of this? How does one convey their feelings so well on a blank canvas. Her work is amazing to look at even if you don't get what she's trying to say you definitely feel something.

Lost in my thoughts I failed to notice the woman next to me, dressed like a celebrity trying to hide her identity from the paparazzi.

Suddenly the slender woman came up to both of us, but more importantly, the woman next to me.

"You're the model right? Hi, I'm Jisoo, Son Chaeyoung's manager/assistant. Change of plans I know I said you guys would meet in the office but she's on her personal floor right now and doesn't mind you coming up" I eavesdropped on their conversation. What does she mean by her personal floor? Is nobody allowed to go up there? Well with the exception of her model friend apparently. Rolling my eyes I finally caught the manager's attention.

"Oh I'm sorry you are?" Finally.

"I'm Mina I guess you could say i'm a frien-"

"Right she told me you were coming" Oh I guess she made an appointment? Is this a formal thing?

"You can also come up to the personal floor as well, however I think she may have the meeting with the client first. I hope that's ok"

"That's no problem at all." I said with a small smile to get rid of the hideous persona I gave off before.

"Great, she's very eager to meet with you." She said, instantly regretting it by the look on her face. She's eager to see me, she says. I smiled a little by just the thought of her wanting to see me.

"Follow me" I visibly snapped out of it when she said that. Why am I suddenly so nervous?

The elevator doors open up and I see Chaeyoung staring at us like she's stealing a cookie from the cookie jar. I bowed at her waiting for a response, the other girl did the same as me.

I realized how her floor was decorated and may I say I'm once again impressed. I drift off into the messy section admiring all her unfinished paintings, drowning out the conversation the other two were having.

"You can follow me to the other side of the room Mina-" I turned and apologised, I felt as though I intruded when she called me out so I apologised. Thankfully she brushed it off and let me continue.

The sound of Chaeyoung's heels got louder and more confident as she walked away from the woman and I. She caught my eye as she sat in front of her desk. I took a seat on a bean bag chair, it seemed fun. I tried my best to eavesdrop on their conversation, but apparently when I do that, I stare, very intently.

Chaeyoung got up with an extra hand holding on to her. Oh they're holding hands now. When I finally entered her eyesight she stopped in her tracks with a weird look on her face. Crap I think I just made her uncomfortable.

"Uh Mina do you want a drink as well?" She said with a shaky tone as if she was afraid to ask. I need to stop with the staring.

"No i'm ok thank you" She walked closer to the bar area of her floor which was closer to me.

"Um when will your meeting be over?" I whispered so that Rose wouldn't hear me.

"Probably like in half an hour" She said back in a whisper with a little nose scrunch. Should I go walk around or something, because I don't wanna be intrusive.

"Ok well I'll just go take a walk until you're finished." I got up with a bit of a struggle since the bean bag was so low. I started to walk away when she lightly took my arm in her hand.

"Are you sure? I can shorten my meeting if you want." Adorable, but I can't let her do that. My eyes widened when I realized that I thought she was adorable.

"Are you ok?" She said after she noticed my eyes widening.

"Yeah I'm fine , and you don't have to do that for me, I don't mind actually, I like walking." I walked off and made my way to the elevator before she could protest any further. 

I didn't like being up there, it was awkward when she and her client were acting like that. Does she do that with all of her clients? Oh my God did we switch places? Is she now the hoe and I'm the quiet innocent one? All of these thoughts flooded my head while going down the elevator, I just couldn't help but think about the type of person she is now. For God's sake i'm gonna ask if I can move in with her! Should I just leave and forget it? 

I think I should.

While walking back to my hotel I saw the coffee place I went to the other day. 'Grounded' was written in an aesthetic font coloured brown on a white background. It got my mouth watering for a white chocolate latte. I stepped in and saw that the place was half empty. I sat down and waited for my order when a tall figure stood in front of me.

"Minari, why are you here all by yourself." The uninvited guest took a seat next to me.

"Because being by myself is way better than being anywhere near you" I swear to God Bam Bam is so relentless.

"You know that I love you right" I gagged at those words. He only says that because my father has money and the funny thing is they are practically best friends. No matter how hard I tried to explain Bam Bam's character to my dad he never listens because most of the time he thinks I know nothing. What baffles me though is, I honestly don't know how much more money this fool wants, he's already loaded.

"Bam Bam please go away, I understand that my dad likes you and all but I don't, so go marry him and leave me alone since you too get along so well." He chuckled in response earning a disgusted look from me. Maybe I do need to stay with Chaeyoung. 

UGH this debate inside my head is getting too annoying, I just need to ask her and if she says no she says no, which I doubt will happen. I guess I was just running away from the awkwardness. It's just been such a long time so I hope nothing goes south.

"Minari are you even listening to me?" I snapped out of thoughts after hearing my name. I didn't realize I was drowning this clown's voice out for so long.

"MINA" I heard the barista call my name indicating that my order is finished. I got up hastily and rushed over to Chae's office, leaving Bam Bam behind.

I arrive on Chaeyoung's floor to meet her and her client kissing.

"Oh" I managed to peep out. Huh.

I felt a pit form in my stomach when she looked at me with her doe like eyes that give off an apologetic vibe. She should be sorry this got really awkward so fast, and I didn't even ask her if I could move in yet.

"I'll go if I'm interrupting" I backed into the elevator and pushed the 'G' button.

"It's alright I was just leaving" Rose said and walked in the elevator with me. So I walked out and came face to face with Chaeyoung.

I heard the elevator ding and turned to see Rose blowing a kiss to Chaeyoung, I mentally gagged this time to not make the environment even more awkward than it's about to get.

"Chaeyoung, I'm just gonna say it ok, you are clearly a busy woman"

She looked like she was taken aback by my straightforwardness.

"Are you sure you don't want to sit or have a drink or anything?" What is it with this girl and drinks?

"Chaeyoung I want to know if I can move in with you."

Her eyes shot open when she realized what I asked of her.

"Oh, sure"
