Chaeyoung POV

3pm

"Alright Jeong-hoon I need that attitude!" I was in the middle of a cover magazine shooting for hoonie, well him and a few of his model friends. I invited them to cheer him up a bit until I can figure out what's actually going on with my dysfunctional family.

"Alright everyone let's take a break, get changed, get some food and meet me back here by 5. I have things to discuss!"

"Jisoo" I called out to her as she was talking to some of the models.

"Captain!" She replied in a comical tone. You know, one minute she's ready to run me over and the next she's being playful. I gotta say even though it's frustrating, love the duality. I just playfully rolled my eyes and continued on.

"What do you think about letting Hoonie and his friends be a part of my project?" I asked, nervous for her reply. I value unnie's opinion a lot, that's why she's my manager/personal assistant.

"I think that's a good idea actually. It's good exposure for them" She replied. I sighed in response as a sign of relief.

"Yes! Ok great. So I'm gonna go to the cafe, you want anything?"

"Vanilla latte will do just fine boss. Now leave me alone I have things to do" As she walked away I mocked her like a little child, then head to the coffee shop"

Mina POV

"Nayeon unnie are you sure you wanna go out today the weather's a little gloomy." Obviously this was just an excuse to not go out with her and her stupid girlfriend.

"It's fine Mina-ssi, we're gonna be inside most of the time right? It'll be fun" Impossible, it won't be fun at all.

"Where are we even going?" I responded, hopeful of the venue she had in mind.

"We are going out for lunch and then hopefully later we can go clubbing, you know if you are ok with that." She said the last part with a bit of aegyo to try to convince me. It has been proven to work in the past but I have a bit more motivation to stay at home this time. But I also can't disappoint Nayeon Unnie.

"Alright fine i'll go but if i feel like going home at any point in time, i'm leaving." I reluctantly responded.

"YES ok that's fine be ready at 1 ok Jeongie and I are coming to pick you up." I rolled my eyes as soon as I heard that name.

I don't know how unnie always manages to get me out of the house when I can stay in one place for a few hours without even getting up to pee.

Thinking about it, she's basically my sister, my only real family member I have left, I have to try my best to make her happy, especially when she moved out to be closer to me. She's in the apartment for now until she can find a place to stay permanently. I owe her a lot.

*ding*

Oh I got a text message from Chaeyoungie.

"Hey Mina sorry about my awkwardness this morning, forgive me. Can you maybe talk to Jeong-hoon for me? He's my brother, you've probably seen him around. That would mean a lot to me if you can get him out of the house and in my office."

I would love to go out with her but I can't, I don't want to make unnie sad.

"How's your cake Minari?" Nayeon looked at me with child-like eyes, full of hope and anticipation.

"It's good," I hummed in response.

"Wanna taste mine jeongie?" Nayeon asked her girlfriend, who gave me a few stares since we've been out. Anytime I catch her I just roll my eyes and continue with my business.

We have been here for about 30mins now, just talking and chilling before the storm that's about to come. I just have a bad feeling.

I look up from my phone to see a familiar figure, a small but firm one.

"Crap" I said with a small voice but Nayeon still heard me.

"What's wrong Mina-ssi?" She looked at me with concern, because I rarely have these 'outbursts' around people anymore.

"Chaeyoung just walked in, she invited me for lunch today. I couldn't make it, obviously, but I didn't tell her where I was going."

"Oh, will she be upset?" I hardly think so, but it's possible.

"I don't think so but she texted me back dryly and I don't know how to interpret that." I replied hiding behind a menu.

"Maybe you should go talk to her, there's no harm in that" She pulled down my menu and I pouted at her in response.

"HAHAHA you're SOOOOO funny Minari!" She shouted so that the whole restaurant could hear.

I swear this girl.

I looked at Chaeyoung and I saw her cub eyes staring back at me with an unreadable expression. I kept my poker face on and went up to her.

"Hey Chaeyongie, I had to go out with Nayeon unnie before you asked me for lunch. Sorry I didn't tell you earlier." She looked at me and smiled.

"That's ok, I know she's you're her best friend so it's cool" She smiled and collected her orders from the barista.

"Oh also I won't be home until maybe 2 in the morning or even earlier than that. I don't like staying out late." When I said that her face changed a bit, she looked... confused, I think.

"Who are you going out with?" She questioned in a serious tone.

"Nayeon and her stupid girlfriend, why?" I tried to keep my tone chill to keep the atmosphere thin.

"If her girlfriend is so stupid then why are you going out with them?" she answered in a playful tone this time.

"You seriously don't recognize her?" I pointed Jeongyeon out for Chaeyoung and her eyebrows went up.

"Oh yeah that's um Joo-hyun is it? I never really spoke to her."

"It's Jeongyeon actually. I'll tell you why I hate her when I get back" I responded, but it sounded weird to say. Obviously it'll take time to get used to the fact that we live together now.

"I may be a bit busy but, if you need anything from me at any time just let me know ok, call me if you get any trouble." She said sweetly. I just nodded in response, blushing a bit.

"I'll get going now. I have a date later." She said and walked right out the door before I could even ask who. But I think I can take a guess.
