*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

The two girls jump out of their skins, frightened by Chae's alarm making sure she's awake on time for her busy schedule. But when she realized who she was next to, all she wanted to do is lay in bed. The same goes for the latter. Sure Mina was irritated by the blaring alarm, but when she caught a glimpse of crush's worried face looking back at her all she could think is-

"Cute"

"I'm so sorry" Chaeyoung nervously chuckled.

They both fell back on the bed enjoying the cozy atmosphere. Both parties definitely wanting to cuddle just like they did unconsciously during the dusk, look at each other nervously but nobody moves a muscle.

"How did you sleep?" Chaeyoung was genuinely curious.

"I slept great, I felt warmer than usual," Mina said, gently flirting.

"It's nice isn't it." The latter responded.

Both now making eye contact felt the intense feeling of pure bliss. Oh how they each wanted to taste each other's lips. But what was stopping them? The fact that they haven't actually expressed their feelings for each other, classic nerves, awkwardness, and lastly their past.

"So, I gotta get ready for work but I'd be thrilled if you took me up on my offer for dinner tonight."

"I would like that. We could talk then." Mina said, worrying about whether a stupid little kiss is gonna affect their newborn friendship.

"Sure," Chae reassured. She then left Mina in her room to go on about her day. She felt kinda empty while walking away from someone that made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

"Chae what are you doing" She said to herself while walking down the hallway.

"Yeah what are you doing?" Dahyun said, coming out of her room.

"Oh my God, you slept with Mina!" She exclaimed.

Chaeyoung put her hand over Dahyun's mouth.

"Shhhhh, she's awake."

"So you did."

"We didn't do the dirty, we just cuddled, it was nice," Chaeyoung said in a timid tone.

"That's so cute" She exclaimed in a fangirl tone of voice.

"....and maybe kissed a little."

"WHAT!!" Dahyun shouted, making Chaeyoung cover her mouth again.

Chae just looked at her best friend with an expressionless face but only for a few seconds. She grabbed Dahyun's hands and started to jump around like little kids. She then collected herself and the latter did the same.

"I gotta get ready for work." She said like nothing happened.

"I'll get started on breakfast." The pale girl stated. She then gave her best friend one last smirk and they both went on their paths.

1:00pm

*ding*

Chaeyoung, doing some work on her desktop heard an email come in. Her face tensed up a bit seeing that the sender is her mother.

"Hello Chaeyoung, I can do Sunday if that's ok with you. I can't wait to see you, if you could bring Jeong-hoon along too I would really like that but of course, that's up to you." Chaeyoung read aloud.

She yelled for Jisoo, telling her to clear whatever she had scheduled on Sunday which probably wasn't much because that's her off day.

"Unnie am I allowed to have a drink?" Chae asked with doe eyes.

"Considering the number of events that are currently taking place in your life, wink wink, I think you deserve it." Jisoo poured a drink for her boss and handed it to her with a smirk on her face.

"Don't forget you gotta break up with Rose. And also you have a meeting with her in about 20mins."

Chaeyoung spat out her drink, after being reminded of her task that she was dreading.

"I forgot about that."

"Good luck, I'll send her up as soon as she arrives." She laughed and left through Chae's marble door elevator.

'I wonder how Mina's doing' she thought. That woman lived in Chae's head every minute, even when she was super focused she still thought of her warmth, it calmed her, made her thoughts clearer.

Me: Hey Mina, how are things at home? I hope Dahyun isn't being weird or anything haha."

"Ugh, why did I say that, now she's gonna wonder why I would ask that."

Incoming call

Chaeyoung stared at her phone in awe of the caller ID

"What do you want?" She said with rage in her voice.

"Calm down princess I just wanna talk."

"Don't call me princess, what the hell do you want Bam Bam."

" I just wanna know where you live, you're harboring Mina right, haha. I would say that's a smart move but it's really not, it's the most obvious actually."

"Right because I'd give up her location. Why don't you just give it up? Mina's not an object you can kidnap and drug and do all your dirty little things with. She's a person, with a heart and a beautiful soul that you never deserved."

"Let me tell you something about your dear Minari, orphan. Mina is a fucking timebomb. I'll admit, I used her for sex and status and I cheated on her multiple times because she was actually very boring but that's not the point right now. She'll switch up on you so fast and you won't even notice. That bitch deserves nothing so just hand her over to me and get out of the grown-up's business."

"Goodluck." Chaeyoung coldly answered the bastard and instantly hung up.

She can't see clearly right now. That overwhelming feeling of anger, anxiety, and fright. She chugged her drink and began to think. Right in the midst of her anxiety her phone 

Mina: Hey Chaengie, um no Dahyun didn't say anything weird but things are going well. I can't wait for our dinner tonight. I have so much to tell you. Let's just say I made some new friends ;)"

Chaeyoung sighed at her phone, not knowing if she should tell Mina or not. She just knew she wanted to protect her. Her heart warmed when she saw that message, to know that Mina was doing well made Chaeng's day a bit brighter, even in the dark events that took place a few minutes ago. She can't scare Mina again, she can't put her through that.
