Prologue

3rd POV:

        It was almost time to go back to school, but school was the last thing on the brunette's mind as she paced back and forth in her bathroom nervously.

        Rachel kept busy, alternatively pacing and talking to herself until the timer beeped. She stared down at the stick in her hand that would ultimately determine her future. She turned it over and immediately crumbled to the floor.

        "No, no!" Rachel sobbed as she clutched the stick, tears running down her face as various thoughts clouded her mind.

        What would become of her future? Her hopes, dreams, her aspirations for her future... Rachel didn't know what to do for once in her life, and that was what scared her the most as she sat on the cold floor, clutching the object in her hand as if her life depended on it.
