Naruto

I didn't know where I was. Everything felt cold and I couldn't move my body at all. I felt like I was chained up by an indestructible force. I hated this feeling, I needed to get out. I can't think straight. WHERE IS MY FAMILY!

All these built-up emotions suddenly flooded my mind. I couldn't feel my chakra either. But it didn't make sense... It felt like I was dead, but fully awake at the same time. At this exact moment, I knew that whoever was behind this needed to be stopped immediately. But there was only so much I could do with how I am now.

Not only am I trapped, but the memory of Sakura and Kakashi still is indented in my mind. If they were so easily manipulated, it wouldn't take long for everyone else to be as well. But if I'm not there to stop them, who will? It is my duty as Hokage, but I'm completely vulnerable at this point in time.

"Dad..." Through the darkness, a voice I was all too familiar with entered my mind. "Where are you, mom and I need you. Why aren't you protecting us?" Hima's voice filled the darkness as I scrambled to break free from whatever had me chained up.

"Hima..." I managed to say before my words grew silent once again. I wasn't dumb, the odds of this being another mind trick we're very high, but hearing her voice only reminded me that she could be in danger at this very moment.

"Dad!" I suddenly heard another familiar voice in the distance. "Dad!" The voice repeated once again.

"Boruto!"

Boruto

After we left, I couldn't stop thinking about what Kakashi had said to me. I was curious to know why I shouldn't believe what will be told to me. Maybe it was related to the traitor I still have close to me. A traitor who I'm still hoping isn't one after all.

"Let's check the office." Sasuke said and we followed his lead. I wasn't confident that he would be there. It was an obvious place for him to be, but when we entered, we saw him chained up.

"Dad!" I screamed as I ran up to him. His eyes were shifting open in shut as he looked around the room. The chains were glowing and touching them caused my hand to burn. "Dad!" I said one more time but this time he opened his eyes.

"Boruto..." his weakened voice said and tears came into my eyes. I never thought that this would be how I saw him after three years. I never thought that I would be in tears infront him wishing for him to be okay. I was conflicted with my emotions but all I cared about now was him being okay.

"I know that this is hard for you, Boruto, but this has to be a trap. They wouldn't have chained him up in somewhere so obvious unless they wanted us to find him." Sasuke said and my mood shifted. I was too clouded by my emotions to see that what he was saying was right.

"Your correct, smart one." We turned to see the same people from before. Only this time, there guard wasn't as up as before. "Don't worry, Boruto. I just want to talk to you. To prove it, I'll even release your father." He said calmly and my body became rigid.

"Why do you want to talk to me?" I questioned as I stood infront of my father.

"In all actuality, I feel bad for you young one. You are extremely gifted and your potential was manipulated by these people." He said as his gaze shifted over toward Sarada and Sasuke. "Not to mention that the whole village actually despises you."

What?

I would be lying if I said I didn't want to know more. "What do you mean?" I asked once again.

"Oops! I've said too much. Are you sure you want to know?" He said and I heard the sound of chain breaking and I turned around quickly to see my dad fail to the ground coughing. "I'm sure your father would love to hear this as well. I mean, after all, he was the only one who truly cared about you. No one else did."

"Don't listen to him, Boruto! He just wants to get in your head. Don't fall for his trap." Sarada said but I was hesitant. My curiosity was getting the best of me and needed to know more. I needed to know the truth and whether or not the traitor was real. The villians had the answers I needed.

"I'll tell you everything, but this spectacular will need a crowd, don't ya think?" He said and before we even knew it, we were transported onto the center of the place where the meeting was going to happen. There, most of the village and the cameras recording everything still remained.

I quickly put on my hood to shield myself from everyone. I could tell that those under mind control were snapped out of it and forced to sit down. "Keep your guard up, Boruto." Sasuke said and I nodded.

"Why hide, Boruto. This is all for you. You may think that I'm the villain here, but as a matter a fact, I'm your only true friend here right now." He whispered in my ear but before I could even process his words, his shouts were heard. "Welcome everyone! You may be wondering what is going on here and you're probably scared of me right now. But in just a couple of minutes, it won't be me that you fear."

His cryptic words sent everyone into panic. I saw shinobi from all sides trying to free themselves from their seats but to no success. I turned to see my father slowly coming to his feet. His chakra was restoring itself.

"Everyone! You see this hooded man here?" An invisible force dragged me toward him and my hood came flying off. "Here, in the flesh, is Uzumaki Boruto. The son of the Hokage and a rogue ninja." Gasps could be heard from the crowd as I tried desperately to free myself. Sasuke and Sarada tried to help me as well, but they too were held back by the invisible force.

"Right now, Boruto here is on your side. He's trying to protect you guys and the village from my harm as you may put it. But do you think that he would still protect you after he finds out the truth? No." He said sternly.

"What do you want from me!" I screamed at him as I tried to break free. "What are you hiding from me, just tell me already!" I yelled as I thought back to what Kakashi had told me.

"Well, since your my friend, I'll tell you everything..." He said before facing the village once again. "Oh, and the chains aren't meant to keep Boruto from attacking me..."

"Its meant to stop him from attacking you."
