Ivy's words yesterday echoed in my head every now and then. Her viewpoint maybe true but I also don't see why I should doubt Raphael's words and actions towards me. He seems genuine to me.

Napailing na lang ako sa iniisip at pinagpatuloy ko na ang trabaho.

This is bad. I should stop overthinking on a groundless assumption.

I'm glad for Ivy's care on me yet I guess this time, I should start listening to my heart. All my life I had been following my mind because I'm afraid of the consequences if I follow my heart. Hindi ko man aminin sa sarili ko but deep down, I know that I'm just afraid. I see how my brother loves a lady who doesn't care a single bit for him. I don't want to experience that also.

If I'm going to experience love, I wanted it to be pure and mine alone. I guess this time, I needed to let go of those fears. This time, I'm going to choose what my heart wants. This time, I'm going to be fearless.

In the middle of the stillness in the office, I heard the door open and in there, Adrian entered the office with a huge smile, as usual.

"Good afternoon, Mavic."

"Good afternoon also, Adrian," I returned the courtesy by greeting and smiling at him also.

"Gusto sana kitang imbitahan ulit para sa dinner."

Napatigil ako sa aking ginagawa at napatingin sa kanya.

"I would love to accept your invitation Adrian kaya lang may kasama na akong magdinner." I gave him an apolegetic smile. "Maybe, next time."

Tumango naman siya sa sinabi ko. Then, he is now looking at me impassively that made me wonder why.

"Why?" I asked.

"Can I ask you a question?" he asked seriously kaya naman ay tumango na lamang ako.

Hindi ako sanay na ganito siya. I mean, he's always the man who looks like he is not carrying any huge problem in his life. He is just very positive and carefree. The world needs more people like him.

"Is Raphael courting you?"

"Yes, he is," pagsagot ko sa question niya. I even heard him mutter something but it's loudness is not enough para marinig ko iyon.

"Anong sinabi mo?"

He smiled at me innocently. "Nothing. Just don't mind it."

"Ang bilis palang dumiskarte ni Raphael," he said with a playful smirk on his face. He is back to his old self again. And I guess I like this version of himself more. O baka naman ay nasanay lang akong ganito siya.

"Naalala ko pa naman noon, hindi naman siya ganito kabilis na niligawan si Karen."

"Karen?"

"Ex-girlfriend ni Raphael noong nagte-take pa kami ng BSA."

"Oh." That's the only word that I could utter right now.

Mavic, why are you feeling this way? Given by his looks and charisma, hindi naman talaga malayo na nagkaroon siya ng girlfriend dati. What matters now ay ikaw na ang nililigawan niya!

Nothing else.

"They had been together for almost two years," pagpapatuloy niya.

Curiosity consumed me. I wanted to know more about them.

What is their story?

"Why did they broke up?"

"I don't think na ako ang dapat magbahagi niyan sa'yo. Try to ask Raphael about it. I'm sure that he is going to tell it to you," wika niya dahilan upang tumango na lamang ako.
