"What?" Bigby asked absent mindedly.

The girl stared at the cigarette a second longer before glancing back up at him, "Why do you smoke these?" she rolled her eyes before they landed on the cigarette again, "Cigarettes are so bad for you... Not to mention this brand is probably the worst there is..."

"Since when do you know shit about cigarettes?" Bigby joked, taking it from her hand and walking forwards.

"My gran smoked around me my entire life. " She rolled her eyes and laughed softly.

"Yeah, you've mentioned it... " his brows furrowed slightly as he stole a quick glance at the girl next to him, "I want to stop by the library again, see what's going on up there before we grab the book. " he spoke,  directing his gaze to the elevator in front of them.

"Why don't I just go get the book, and you check the library?" She hummed, "Two birds, one stone."

"No, I don't want you falling into another trance or something... " he took her gloved hand and gently squeezed it as he pressed the elevator button.  "We're in this together, Red. "

"Right. " she hummed with a warm smile. Her anxious glance to the stairway didn't go unnoticed by Bigby, but he decided not to bring it up.

As they stepped into the elevator. Bigby released her hand and pressed the close doors button before pressing the number for the floor where the library was.  The girl next to him tapped her foot softly as she stared at the numbers above the metal doors.

Bigby gave her a quick questioning glance before speaking up again, "Tell me about your date again?" he hummed.

She glanced at him and raised a curious brow, "What about it?"

"Where'd you go, what'd you do?"

"We went to see a movie. " she answered shortly.

"Didn't you say he wanted to get dinner?"

"Changed his mind I guess,  you know him. "

"Yeah... I do. " he reached forward and pressed the emergency stop button on the elevator. "I also know my partner pretty damn well. "

Her brows furrowed slightly as she stared at him with wide eyes, "What the heck, Bigby?" she glanced at the doors as he crossed his arms and nonchalantly leaned against the other wall in the small space, "What are you doing?"

"Take off the glove. " he hummed, glancing at the door.

Her brows knitted further as she backed away from him, "Doesn't that seem a bit risky, wolf?"

Bigby raised a curious brow at that.

"No, not really, especially considering you don't have a blood marking on that hand, right?"

Her eyes widened and she scanned the small space, panic overtaking her.

"No! No! You can't do this wolf, you don't understand, she needs me, she needs us to do this for her... If you do this we can't save her... Just pretend you don't know, please, please. " she rambled,  scanning the small space, "They'll kill every last one of us until she's the only one left to kill, wolf... " their eyes met and Bigby raised a curious brow.

"What do you mean?"

Her wide, watery eyes scanned his own, trying to read him, "I- I am little red riding hood... And... " her watery eyes pleaded with him, "I-"

The doors opened and both Bigby's head and the girl's across from him shot to the open door.

Two mechanics stood at the door, (Y/n), Snow, and Mr. Poe standing behind them.

"Are you alright-" (E/c) orbs met Bigby's own, and they widened slightly before they found the other person in the small space with him. "The hell?" she muttered before her eyes found Bigby's again.

"Glamour. " He muttered. She nodded slowly, and Bigby found his eyes trailing to the girl in the corner of the small space, she seemed like a cornered animal... And maybe at this point, she was.

Bigby sat across from (Y/n) as she stared at her palms in her lap.

"So... When I asked you to step out, so you didn't attack anyone, you went to the library, and a few minutes later this girl showed up, claiming to be me?" she raised a curious brow. Bigby nodded slowly, confirming her recap, "You said Mr. Poe was there with her?"

"Yeah... He left shortly after, but then me and her went to the cafe to talk about a plan to deal with your curse..."

"What did she tell you the curse was?"

"A blood one." Bigby pinched the bridge of his nose softly, "Only works when seen by the eye,  yadda yadda..." he sighed softly as his eyes met her concerned ones.

"Bigby... " she muttered. Her voice was soft, and worried, but Bigby didn't know what to believe anymore.

"How do I know it's you?" He questioned, raising a curious brow.

Her own brows furrowed slightly, "I-" she thought for a moment, "You said she got some facts wrong about the date right?"

"Yeah. "

"Then there's only so much that these people know... So ask me something... Something only you and I would know, like before people even started glamouring as me... "

Bigby's brows furrowed before he sighed softly. He thought about this long and hard, something only she would know? Something that only the two of them shared?

Their eyes met and Bigby found he could feel his heart in his chest. He sighed again, shaking his head slowly,

"What was the promise you made me after that night?"
