When little red riding hood escaped the homelands, she didn't expect to find herself in the city of lights. Nor did she expect to end up there alone... Sure there were other fables, but her father, her mother, her grandmother... They were all gone she just felt so alone...

But being alone never stopped the little girl in a brilliant red hood, not when she was being hunted by a flesh-eating wolf, not when she had to make her way back home all on her own again, not when her grandmother passed, and certainly not now.

(Y/n) made a life for herself, joining the Fable Paris police force, and soon climbing the ranks till she was a well-respected detective. She received medals and praise for the cases she solved, on one case she met a hero from her past and even fell for him as he helped her solve the case.

Yeah... She loved him once, didn't she? Maybe she still did...

But after she came home to another woman in their bed, her world seemed to spiral out of control.

Her perfect little life spun right into her bottomless pit of failures.

The case she had been working so diligently on was all lost in a fire, all of her evidence, all of her records, burnt away in a moment's notice. The murder roamed free because she had no evidence of his crimes, and she was demoted to patrol force for her... Episode... Her ex-lover ran away to New York, all the way across the ocean, and left her to pick up the pieces by herself.

On her life's dark path, she met a woman that she absolutely could not stand, Alice. The woman her ex cheated on her with. The woman in her bed, with her boyfriend... but after a cup of tea and a not-so-pleasant conversation, the two became... "friends."

And though (Y/n) would never admit it, Alice was the reason her life took the turn that it did.

Alice didn't care for the rules and reminded (Y/n) how to have fun again, she reminded (Y/n) that there was more to life than her boring work, her horrible choice in lovers, and the papers on her desk that could wait until the next day.

Alice reminded (Y/n) that life was more than the things that tore her down.

And eventually...

Alice introduced the ex-detective to a beautiful woman by the name of Snow White, and after a long (drunken) story of (Y/n)'s demotion, Snow offered her a position in Fabletown.

Which she didn't hesitate to accept.

She formally quit her job at the French police force and made her way to Fabletown New York.

When she arrived in the city, she was greeted by Snow White, and a doctor Swineheart... her nemesis.

He practically tried to murder her with a sharp and three-inch-long needle as he tried to drain all her blood(none of this is true) and she had to run for her life.
