CHAPTER 3: SELECTING CHOICES

Aashna's POV:

The next morning, my mom woke me and Neil up, I sat on the bed rubbing my eyes, and when my eyes were finally agreeing to adjust with the bright light of the room, I saw my mom looking absolutely beautiful

"good morning mum" i said and opened my arms signaling her to come ahead for a hug

"good morning aunty" neil said as she came for a hug

"Very good morning to my two lovely munchkins" she said while hugging me

"what time is it?" I asked as i finally decided to part the hug

"its 11 am. Achha listen, I have made you guys food, I just woke you all up since I have to leave for work" she said and that exact moment she got a call and excused herself out of the room

I crawled out of the bed, legit not feeling to get up but we decided to get fresh first, and after getting ready, I got our fruit salad in my room and we sat on the bed eating and talking.

"so why did you sleep late?" He asked as he bit into his fruit

"I slept late? You slept damn early." I laughed as i ate a strawberry

"anyways i know you would stalked up the site, so what news am I listening to?" He said and I just got so excited, like i turned around to him and the blast was about to begin

"okay so the plan of us shifting together is cancelled because we have dorms inside SPRINGFIELD HIGH and we are to be staying in that only." I said and he had his mouth wide open but then closed it within a second

"okay okay" he said shrugging off the excitement he just had!

"baaki, we will have a mail, that would explain, its gonna open at around 2 pm or something" i said and then munched on more fruits as the strawberries in my bowl got over

We both just chilled around, watching Netflix and some standup comedy. Somehow it felt like time was going very slow, after a very long time it was finally 2 pm. We both got the mails. Neil however, had his internship work to do, so I decided to understand the mail details.

THE MAIL:

Dear future leaders,
First off, congratulations on your admission into the most prestigious high school. But this journey isn't going to be a bed of roses; you are going to enter a new world and for that, you need to be prepared. So here is what's gonna happen, I am gonna tell you how you will be trained. Attached below will be your course PDF and a rule book, we request you to please go though all and make a wise decision, the forms will be opened at 6 pm today.

Neil was sitting next to me only, so I read the mail out loud. While he was writing his poetry, I took my diary out and began to note my schedule options. It was hectic trust me, especially the co curricular.

Finally when he finished writing his poem, we discussed our schedule.

"so what are you planning to take up? lets go one by one! What are you planning to take up as foreign language?" I said as i divided my page into two sections giving them heading as aashna and neil!

"whoa, you really take command haa!" He said and i smiled as I playfully hit him with a pencil

"be serious na! tell me na, what are you planning? I am thinking of French" i said as i write french in my column

"I think, I will go for Spanish." He said and I smirked as i write down his choice in his column

"cool, we can even teach each other that as well later" i said explaining my reason for smirking
