CHAPTER 34: WHY DO YOU CARE ANYWAYS?

Aashna's POV:

A lot of days went by and I focused myself back on studies, I stopped attending the band lessons in between sometimes when it interfered with my classes, i also stopped talking to sanket and ignored him like he ignored me!

It was really difficult at first, whenever i saw him coming in or going out of the room, we had very less interaction in the room and whenever i sat down to study, i used to think about him! But now no more, why do i live like this?

I started to attend and enjoy parties with others, even though i still didnt drink much. I danced around, allowed guys to flirt with me and flirt back with them! It was fun, and now i realised the happiness in enjoying life to the fullest

I have scored good marks in my project too, Karan tried to talk to me many times to make up but i kept on ignoring him because no matter how hard life gets you dont go back to your toxic ex that cheated on you, even when you are alone and that my dear is called self respect.

After class Kabir told me that a guy named Avinash is throwing a party and that i should come since the entire springfield is coming

"Cool, i will be there with shruti" i said since i longer had rides with sanket

"Well cool and maybe you can patchup with sanket" he smiled

"No! Why would i? I didnt do anything, he is the one ignoring me" i said almost immediately

"Achha okay baba! Destiny will get you together and you cant do anything" he replied

"okay okay we will see" i said rolling my eyes and left

Thankfully sanket wasn't in the room so i had time to decide what i will wear, i called up Shruts to come and help me

"Babe, i have always said, wear anything and you look sexy" she said while going through

"But this time we have to get you a dress in which you look so hot that Sanket cant take his eyes of you" she said

"Gosh why are you all behind me and Sanket" i said "we were just friends and now not even that"

"You cant lie to me! You told me that you LOVE him" she said while checking the dresses "and LOVE doesnt fade that easily! All you are doing is ignoring your feelings and that wont last for long" she said

"Wear this! You will look so sexy in it" she said

"But its like too revealing and you know i dont wear such stuff to party" i said looking at the dress

"Then why did you buy it? Now shut up and wear the dress! You are an adult and its okay!" She said and i sighed! I kind of agreed and chose some matching accessories and heels

Soon shruts got ready and came to pick me up in her car and i sat inside and we left for the party, after reaching the location i get down and walk a little ahead when i see guys ogling at my cleavage

"Ugh perverts" i said and walked inside where i saw Avinash! A wheatish skin tone, good height and styled beard

"Heyy" he said and greeted me with a hug "so you are the talk of the town"

"Umm no nothing like so" i said shyly and tucked my hair behind my ear

"Well they aint wrong, you are damn hot" he said with a smile and i blushed

I went inside and saw Sanket who looked at me all shocked and then excused himself and started walking towards me!

Wait! He is coming towards me? Why? And with those steps that he took, all my feelings also started to come back! As if they came out from a box i closed, and kept deep down

He grabbed my hand and pulled me to a side, i tried to pull my hand out of my grip and he took me near the kitchen

"What the hell are you doing here?" He said as I felt his breath on my skin while i was holding my hand in pain looked at him

"Well i didnt know i needed your permission so anyways , abd why do you even care?" I said angrily

"This isnt a normal party! It isnt safe you should leave" he said and looked around to see if no one was hearing him

"You know what! Even if it isnt safe! And you know what, i can fit into any party" i said and grabbed the bottle of vodka and drank a sip staright from the bottle!

"Ohh fuck that burns! How do you guys even drink this shit" i said holding my throat and he laughed

"See, now keep it back" he said and tried to take it from me "it isnt for you" he said and held my arm again

"Dont touch me Mr. Mehta! And i can fit in" i said coldly and by taking sips, i soon drank the entire bottle

"Now you see" i said and grabbed another bottle

"Look, you haven't tried such hard drinks before , i will get you something soft" he said and i denied and sat on the couch

I started feeling the vodka getting on my head, and i started feeling dizzy! But i still somehow managed to gulp the second bottle down and the feeling i was having was amazing! Is this how it feels to be drunk?

"Hey aashna come" i heard a manly voice and went towards it
