CHAPTER 24: NERD, YOU SWEAR A LOT

"Bro she said NO" i hear a familar voice and it was Karan! Neil didnt say a word after but just looked at me and left

"You okay babe?" He said

Babe! Since when?

"Yes" i said unsure of whether i should add babe or not

"You are going somewhere?" He asked

"Yup to Kabir's house" i replied with a smile

"You and this guys group hangout a lot lately, don't you think?" He said

"Umm what's wrong in that?" I said casually but i knew what he meant and what he was thinking

"I mean, i am your boyfriend and not Sanket" he said

"And when did I even mention Sanket?" I replied kind of pissed off

"I gotta go" i said as i sat in the car and saw him leave

I was feeling so uncomfortable, i just there, outside my house and inside my car,

I had to agree to the offer, i didn't have enough money to spend on uber and i lied about my car, so i kept my bag in his backseat and sat ahead next to him

The drive was quiet until we took the main highway to his house, yaa the same farmhouse, its pretty far away

"Lets play some music" i said and turned on the stereo and it played "Sun Raha Hai Na Tu" and within no time, without even me realising, i started singing along, looking outside the window and humming to myself

SANKET'S POV:

I offered to help her out and she agreed, i knew she was lying but who cares, later in the drive she played some music and she started along too, i didn't say a word, i was just listening to her, damn her voice is good! She should have chosen music, i kept looking at her while driving and after the song ended she caught me looking

"What?" She said kind of embarrassed

"Nothing you sing well" i said focusing my eyes on the road
