"y/n! Again? You always take forever!" Sam shouted from outside of y/n's window. Mike saw him from his room and rolled his eyes.
"I'm coming, jesus Sam!" y/n yelled from her bedroom window.
y/n laid her costume down on her bed and ran downstairs.
"Bye mom! I'll see you later!" y/n yelled as she ran towards the front door.
"Ok, bye sweetie! I love you!"
"I love you too!"
Today was the first day y/n's mother hadn't asked for her to say hi to Mike. A tradition that had been going on since y/n and Mike became friends, finally came to an end.

y/n ran outside and hopped in Sam's car.
"Hey." Sam said and gave y/n a peck on the cheek, she smiled.
"Hey, you excited about the party today?" y/n asked as she buckled her seatbelt.
"Totally, our costumes are awesome!" Sam said with an excited smile.
"They are, I can't believe you actually came up with a good idea." y/n said with a chuckle.
"Hey!" Sam said as he placed his hand over his heart.
"I'm kidding! But I do actually like that we're dressing up as Danny and Sandy."
"Yeah, but I was hoping you would've picked her outfit from the end of the movie." Sam said wiggling his eyebrows.
"In your dreams, Johnson." y/n said and rolled her eyes jokingly. Sam smiled and began to drive to school.

"Again?!"
Dustin yelled, realizing no one but them dressed up, again.
"You guys actually dressed up?" Max questioned and giggled.
"What are you guys anyways?" Max asked looking the boys up and down.
"We're supposed to be the outsiders." Will mumbled.
"Yeah! Don't you remember I gave you the costume for Cherry?!" Lucas asked.
"I was not wearing that stupid dress!"
"But she's a redhead like you! It was perfect!"
"Shut up." Max said as she rolled her eyes.

Mike walked up to his friends and laughed.
"Were we actually supposed to dress up?"
"Yes! Where's your Sodapop costume??" Dustin practically screamed.
"There was no way I was going to wear that stupid flannel." Mike said as he played with the zipper in his jacket.
"Oh my god! You guys ruined the group costume! You do realize that, right?"
Lucas said with his hands on his hips.
"I'm sorry, but this is hilarious." Max said laughing uncontrollably.
El and Molly walked up to the party holding hands.

"Hey guys!"
"Hey El, can you believe they dressed up?"
Max said wiping tears of laughter from her eyes.
"I think you guys look cute!" Molly said with a warm smile.
"Thank you, Molly! At least someone appreciates our genius costumes!" Dustin exclaimed.
"Hey what are you guys gonna dress up as?" Will asked.
"We're dressing up as Betty and Veronica, it was Molly's idea!" El said smiling wide.
"That's cute!" Max yelled.
"Hey, we should get to class. We have like 2 minutes." Dustin said looking at the clock in the hallway. The teens said bye to each other and walked to their classes.
