A couple days had gone by since Monday and y/n began feeling sick and dizzy lately. She didn't know what it meant, but she was worried. She really wanted to tell her mother about her recent state, but she was still off on her business trip and y/n knew well enough that she wouldn't answer her calls. Her father had come home last week, but y/n knew he would be of no use to her anyways, he probably would say something along the lines of,
"A man shouldn't have to hear such disgusting things." or "I don't care to know about the details of your 'lady problems, y/n."

She couldn't focus in school, which Ms. Phillips was quick to notice. y/n would excuse herself to the restroom frequently and doze off quite a bit, but Ms. Phillips didn't seem to mind. Deep inside, Ms. Phillips knew that these symptoms seemed familiar to her, but didn't think that something like that could happen to such a bright student like y/n.

Mike also seemed to notice changes in y/n's behavior and health. He worried that she was gravely sick and would try to convince her to visit the doctor or stay at home, in case it was serious. But y/n being y/n, didn't think much of it and prioritized her education over her own health. She was sure that it was just a cold and that she would probably feel better in a week and that Mike would have made a big deal out of it for nothing. Mike had always been very dramatic. When they were younger and y/n would have a small cough or sniffle, Mike would refuse to hang out with her and insist that they only communicate through the phone or talk to each other from their windows.

y/n woke up the next morning and immediately felt ill. She felt nauseous and a slight pain in her stomach, she ignored her sickness and got ready for the day. She pulled herself out of her warm blankets and made her bed. After she finished making her bed, she did her hair. She braided some of her hair, tied it back with a small ribbon, and brushed out the hair that she had left down. She skimmed through her closet and picked a white peasant top and a lilac floral skirt, along with white converse.

She was about to grab her backpack from her desk chair when she spotted a small bracelet from the corner of her e/c eyes. She looked over at it and quickly recognized it as the friendship bracelet that had been gifted to her by Mike when they were kids. She smiled at the white beaded bracelet and slipped it onto her small wrist.

y/n quickly headed downstairs and ate half of a bagel. She finished eating and found her father asleep on the couch with the television on in the background. She rolled her eyes and shut it off, she then walked over to the front door to leave. Before she walked out the door, she heard her father yell from the living room, "I was watching that!" The irritated girl scoffed and slammed the door. y/n walked to the garage and hurriedly pulled out her light blue bike. She hopped on and began to pedal quickly to school.
