Alejandro POV:

Im running back home before the clouds start to cry. I don't want to get sick from getting wet in the rain and I also don't want to get scolded by my nanay (mom) so I'm doing this as fast as possible.

Sfx: thunder rumble

I hear thunder rumbling and stopped for a bit to catch my breath.  I feel a water drop on my nose..
Crap! It's already starting to rain! I continued on running back to town. Suddenly a clash of liquid came and my hair got soaked as well as my clothes.

The soil turned muddy and one of my tsinelas (flip-flop) got stuck and I fell down. My face is now covered in mud, wow I'm so lucky today.

I got up and took off both of my tsinelas. I'll just hold
"RAIN YOU REALLY THINK THIS IS FUNNY HUH? CURSE YOU!"
I yelled at the rain clouds in spanish, well I could've shouted in my local language but spanish sounds really good.

Anyways, I threw a stone at the air as if I'm trying to but the clouds at the face. Clouds don't have faces but who cares! I hate that they made me all soaked! Hmph!

- later at (Alejandro's) AJ's house-

"Mom! I'm back!"
I shouted as I opened the front door. No one's home? Hm.. mom might've gone trading but normally she does that early in the morning. Oh well, I'll just go change to dry clothes so that I won't catch a cold. I close the door behind me.

Philip, I feel bad for that kid he looked so scared and helpless... I wonder how he ended up there? In a jail cell so far away from town.. What a very strange location for a person his age to be in.

Sfx: door knocking

As I was about to take of my wet shirt I heard someone at the door. I wonder who it is?

"Wait lang po! (Just a moment!)"
I shouted, got to change up fast! I don't want anyone to see me like this.
I finished changing my clothes then I heard the person banging on the door. What the heck? Does this person know how to wait?
I ran to the front door and opened it.

It's Manong Kati, what is he doing here?

"Ah Manong Kati bakit po ikaw nandito? (What are you doing here?)" I asked the worried looking man.
"Nakita mo ba yung bunso ko? (Have you seen my youngest son?)"
He asked, his face looks very tired.. what happened??

"Hindi ko po alam Manong kung sino yung bunso mo, pwede mo ba po ilarawan? (I don't know who is your youngest son, can you describe him?)" I ask as I let him in the house because it's raining very strongly and he can't get sick because I know he has a family to work for. I really didn't know he had two kids, the only kid I know is Martial who goes out with him sometimes.

"Bata siya na may kulay pula na panyo na nakatali sa kanyang leeg, meron rin siyang araw na may walo na sinag na Naga tago ng kanyang kanang mata (He's a kid with a red handkerchief around his neck, he has a sun that has eight rays that covers his right eye)" He explains

I gave him a towel to warm himself up, he thanks me and takes it.

"Medyo kagaya siya ni Martial kaso baliktad ang bandila (He looks like Martial's flag but upside-down)" He adds to his description of his youngest son.

....

I have seen a kid who has an eight ray sun covering his right eye but... He doesn't really look like Martial to me.. He has half resemblance of a Spanish flag..

"Ano ba po ang nangyari sa iyong anak Manong? (What happened to your kid though?)" I asked him.

"Kinuha siya ng mga Espanyol nung isang araw kwento sakin ni Martial sinubukan kong hanapin siya pero walang swerte..
(He was taken by Spaniards thats what Martial told me, I tried to look for him but no luck..)"

"Sana mahanap mo po siya Manong.. kung sakali man kailangan mo po nang tulong, sabihan mo po ako. (I hope you find him soon.. Just in case you need some help, I'm available to volunteer.)" I told him.

"Salamat AJ.. (Thank you AJ..)" He thanked me.
I led him to a bench where he can sleep and gave him a blanket to keep himself from getting a cold. I tell him that he can stay the night here because it looks like the rain isn't going to stop until next morning.

- the next day -

Manong Kati left after the rain stopped because his wife might be worried about him since he didn't come back home last night. My mom hasn't been back for hours now. I'm really worried about her, this is the first time she hasn't come home early.

Sfx: pouring water, birds chirping

The rainy season has started, I need to make sure our roof is ok to avoid danger. I pour myself a glass of water, and took our leftover food from yesterday. I don't know how to cook so this will do..

- After breakfast (at the roof cuz basically he gonna put extra cover)  -

Third POV:

Alejandro took down some palm leaves and dried them for the roof. Shingles and cement weren't really a thing for houses back in the days. Though the spanish did influence the Filipinos on making half wood and half stone houses, Alejandro's house wasn't influenced yet.

After upgrading the roof he then left the house and to the town.
His mom isn't back yet it's been about thirteen hours...

Alejandro arrives at town and spots Martial walking around. He has the same worried expression like his dad. I wish I could find his little brother... What if Philip is really the kid their looking for? I should ask Philip about his background next time I see him..

"Hoy Martial!" Alejandro calls, Martial turns to Alejandro and walks to him.
"Anong gusto mo? (What do you want?)" Martial asks sternly.
'Whats with the tone geez' Alejandro thought in his head.

"Kamusta ka? Mukhang na saktan ka (how are you? You look hurt)" He replied to Martial who was looking all worn out.
"Di mo kailangan malaman, halata naman rin na hindi ako okay (You dont need to know, it's clear I'm not okay)" Martial tells Alejandro.

"Ah ganon pala...Martial pwede ba ako magtanong sayo? (Oh so it's like that... Martial May I ask you something?)"
"Ano yon? (What is it?)" Martial replies.
"Nakita mo ba si mama ko? Matagal siyang wala eh (Have you seen my mom? She's been gone for a while)"

"Hindi pero maynakita akong mga tao nakapalibot doon yata may-makuha kang impormasyon (no I haven't seen her but I saw a crowd gathered over there maybe you could get information)"
Martial points behind him.

"Sige pupuntahan ko doon salamat Martial (Oh ok ill go there, thanks Martial)"
Alejandro replied to Martial as he walks away.

----------

Alejandro goes to the crowd, what's up?
He excuses the other townspeople to move aside because he wants to see what their looking at.

...

"Mama?"
