Everything happened so fast.

One second, Wheeljack had been waving Ratchet over to come help. Then there was a loud explosion, that knocked almost everyone off there feet.

Wheeljack audio receptors rung as he frantically looked around, his optics going wide when he saw Ratchets limp form. He immediately pushed himself up, scrambling towards the medic as more explosions went off in the distance.

"Ratchet!" He called, "Ratchet!" He skidded to a stop next to the mech, grabbing a hold of his arm to shake him. "Ratchet, get up!" He cried helplessly, momentarily glancing up to look around. He felt worry build up in his chassis when Ratchet didn't answer.

"Ratchet, please, you have to get up." Wheeljack said, flipping the mech over so he was lying on his back. He gasped in horror at what he saw.

The medics whole side looked as if has been torn open, scorch marks lining the edge. The side of his leg and arm looked mangled and burned, energon leaking profusely from the wound.

"Ratchet?" The medic optics were half open, face contorted into a pained expression. He scraped at the servo that had fit itself into his own, obviously trying to focus on the face in front of him and failing miserably. He made a sound that could have counted as a whimper, but Wheeljack couldn't really tell.

The former wrecker attempted to cry for help, but it wasn't like anyone could hear him over the constant bang of explosions.

Wheeljack stared at Ratchet for what seemed like forever, gripping onto the medics servo tightly. He whispered soft words, trying to calm the medics shaking frame.

Ratchet wasn't going to make it.

He knew that.

Wheeljack choked down a sob, slowly pulling Ratchet into his arms. He didn't notice, much less care about the fact that spilled energon was smearing itself across his frame, simply rocking gently as he held the medic in his arms.

He wasn't going to make it.

"You are my sunshine," Wheeljack managed to choke out between silent cries, "my only sunshine..."

The medic gripped onto the former wreckers servo.

"You make me happy, when skies are grey...You'll never know, dear, how much I love you..."

Ratchet closed his optics.

"Please, don't take my sunshine away..."

The grip faded away.

He didn't make it.
