Colby sat with his friends, they all joked and had a good time as the brunette with dark blue tips sat there thinking. He looked up, seeing a bit of the surface and sighed. He wanted something new.

He was always about adventure, he loved to explore and find new things but the ocean looked the same everywhere he'd go. One time, he and his brother found an under water volcano, one time they found a large dark crater- but didn't go down it, they also found a rift valley. A rift valley is basically a large crack in the ocean floor, they both assumed it was caused by an earthquake.

"Wanna adventure? We could.. tell our parents we're at each other's house then just.. go away." Colby said, everyone stopped talking or laughing and looked at the boy who stared upwards.

"I'd go.." Katrina said, smiling at Colby. "I'll do it, let's go tonight." Colby smiled brightly at her, excitement rattled his bones.

"I'm down, baby you wanna?" Corey said, then asked Devyn if she'd go along. She nodded with a smile, and the four were beaming with excitement. "Brennen?"

They all looked at Brennen, he but his lip as he thought long and hard. He was nervous, he'd never gone extremely far from home and he'd never lied to his parents. "I'm in." The five cheered and smiled, they talked over the conversation they'd have with their parents and agreed before parting ways.

Colby went home, he nervously drifted towards his parents and took a deep breath. "Mom, Dad? Can I go to Corey's tonight?"

They looked at each other, his father nodded before his mother turned back to him. "Sure, baby. Be safe though, please."

Colby smiled happily, rushing towards her and wrapping her in a hug. "Thank you! I'll be safe I promise!" He called as he zoomed from the house and back towards where they planned on meeting up. He saw them all waiting, he zoomed towards them and grabbed Corey's shoulder making him jump. "Let's go!"

They all began swimming, Colby was heading towards shore but he didn't know that they'd approve. "So, where we going?" Katrina quipped, everyone just looked at Colby to await an answer.

"Uhm, not sure." He lied, they began swimming again and carrying light conversation as they did. Katrina and Devyn said they've never surfaced before, so we all then swam upwards and popped our heads out of the water. "Nice, isn't it?"

The two girls looked around in awe, the sky was a beautiful light blue with white fluffy clouds filling it. Everyone just took the moment in, enjoying each other and their own little adventure.

Colby's head shot towards shore, he saw the blonde boy in the water. Another boy was with him though, he had purple hair and he and the blonde were splashing and having a large amount of fun. He didn't know why, but Colby felt a pang of sadness in his heart. Of course he was happy to finally see the boy smile, but he always wanted to be his friend.

"Oh my, God. Those are humans!" Brennen hissed, keeping his voice down.

"C-Can I tell you guys a secret..?" They all said something, agreeing that he had their trust. "I've been coming here everyday. The blonde boy, I've only dreamed of talking to him.. he keeps drawing me to the surface.." Colby spoke quite softly, his voice was just loud enough for his friends to hear.

The two human boys at shore didn't notice the five heads that popped up from the water, as you know the blonde loved to admire the ocean but his new friend was a newfound distraction.

"So this is where you've been going.." Corey said, smirking towards Colby.

"I-I'm sorry, Colby. It'd be cool to talk to him, but-"
