Chapter 13: Glowing in the dark

They went in deeper, trees were everywhere. Agent 4.5 is starting to think they're going nowhere, "I swear, if were going in circles then I'm blaming you." He points at Agent 7

Agent 7 looked at him in confusion, "Me? What did I do?"

"Didn't you leave Cap'n alone? That's highly dangerous to leave a man at his age behind!" 4.5 shouted at him

"...huh, I've never really thought about it." Agent 7 sighed, "Guess working with an old angry man really makes you forget, huh?"

"Cap'n isn't a angry old man tho..." 4.5 looked at him with one brow raised

"Huh? Oh! Sorry...I just don't know why I said that." Agent 7 looked up, "Must be me remembering something...", he felt something hit his legs, he looked down

It was a smallfry

"What is this? A small steelhead or something?" He poked the smallfry

"That's a smallfry, they usually come in groups according to my experience. Strange to see only one... there should be more of them together-" 4.5 sees an army of smallfry rushing towards them, he starts booking it

Agent 7 stood there in a awkward manner, "...eh?"

The group of smallfry was coming in faster, there were millions of them

Agent 7 started to book it as well in the same direction 4.5 went

"Cod I wish I didn't follow that person!" He ran as fast as he could

Later on from all the chasing

He caught up to 4.5, he looked back, the smallfries weren't behind then anymore

4.5 turns his head around to see if they were still following them, "Huh, looks like they gave up!" Agent 4.5 said stopping to take a breath

"Yeah..." Agent 7 looked around, "Hey, 4.5, where exactly are we?"

4.5 looked around, it was dark, "Geez, let's just get out of this gloomy hole."

They turned around and started to head for the exit, the doors close, it was pitch black

"Well that's just great, we can't see anything now." 4.5 said in a irritated tone, "I would use my phone but I don't wanna waste energy in case Agent 2 calls us."

"Well what do we do now? I can't glow like a Bioluminescent Octopus to provide light." Agent 7 said trying to look at 4.5

"I can."

"Wait what?" Agent 7 looked at him weird

"I'm a firefly squid, we glow in the dark. It's like a natural thing for us." 4.5 said with a proud look on his face

"Well, why don't you glow then?" Agent 7 said, questioning

"Well I only glow if I'm flustered or happy." Agent 4.5 said explaining to him

Agent 7 looked at him with a puzzled expression, "So what? You want me to hold your hand or something?"

Agent 4.5 blushed, "What?! No! That's dumb! That'll never work!", 4.5 didn't realize that he was glowing

Agent 7 laughed "See? I got you to glow, it wasn't so hard." Agent 7 started walking foward, "Be my shining star, okay?"

Agent 4.5 blushed and sighed, "Geez, use that cheesy pick-up line for girls. Don't use me for practice.", He walked next to him

"Pick-up line?"

"Geez, you don't know what that is either. Makes sense,you are a oblivious octoling after all..." Agent 4.5 kept walking
