The Car Won't Start-21

With my headache growing and the sound of tapping and growling had woken me right up. My body was not in a condition to move or run and with every move or flinch, my head would become painful,very painful and kitara on the other hand was nowhere in sight,not even on the trees. With not much energy left, standing up was a lot difficult but through it all, i managed to slowly stand up and use a nearby boulder for support.

I know that what I dreamt or thought of was somewhere in these woods and I had to find the place, so that I could free my family and go back home. All that sounded easy right, it sounded like an adventure, for some brave children who are not me and are far from being me.with one deep breath, I gathered all my thoughts and combined them into one, "right"I whispered and glared at the dark and creepy forest,it felt like yesterday that I was lost in these never ending forest and now I got used to all of this, wow I must say I had made it that far,but not on my own of course, with the help of friends.

"I found it!"

Suddenly a figure jumped in front of me and we both jumped in shock ."ngini inkinga yakho!"kitara grasped her chest and breathed intensely whilst I starred at her, my mouth and mind resisting to laugh,but my heart-"ha!"I erupted into laughter not minding the frowning girl in front of me."sorry!" I collapsed on the floor and got a weak kick to the chest"get up idiot, I think I know where your family is"I immediately stopped laughing and glanced at kitara from the floor,was she serious,had she actually found them.

"Tell me you're joking"I stared at kitara,who looked ever so serious, I'm sure she was joking right."remember when you talked about him i remember when umkhulu told me that him can only contact your mind when you are nearby, meaning he must be here somewhere, and where there is him there is?"."my family!"I realised and I couldn't help but smile, kitara found my family, something I couldn't do, my stomach had begun to turn, I mean I was happy she found them, but i wasn't the one who found them."so I say we search the whole forest yeah, it's a start"she nudged for me to wake up but I was too busy in my thoughts to even notice her complaints.

If my family is here, will everything really go back to normal, but what if they are not alive, they must be otherwise-"Conor, it's time to go find your family"kitara said sternly and I just nodded in agreement "first things first, where do we start?"

"Prickly trees, noisy birds, crazy plants and vicious insects, is there no peace"I sighed after being scratched for the seventh time by the leaf of a tree or a branch."it's okay, it's better than nothing right"kitara slapped a leaf out of her way. "No it's not, we are deep in the forest and we haven't even seen them, not even a single clue to guide us, just trees,trees and oh more trees!"I huffed and sat on a rock that was fuzzy and lumpy, it wasn't even three seconds before I realised it was an insect."oh my God!"I jumped and screamed in surprise and ran straight into the trees, not minding where I was going, I really hated insects, all kinds of moving bugs,i hated them.

I ran for thirty to forty seconds, my heart pumping and mind unsure of my destination, all I knew was run, well until my left leg intertwined with something strong on the ground causing me to fly not so high in the air and into thorny bushes."argh!"I huffed and moved the leaves out of my sight to see a metal thing stuck on the floor. Without much hesitation, I slowly got up from the hard ground and moved more leaves out of my path for me to fully examine the metal thingy.

It looked like a rusty metal wheel with moss growing from it. As I neared on it, I realised that this metal thingy was glued to the ground, or stuck inside it, or was it just there?, So without much hesitation, I placed my hand  on the metal thingy and moved my hand around it,it felt cold but not that cold, it had a dozen scratches and it wasn't smooth just rusty.

Without thinking I firmly pressed my hand on it and took a deep breath before pulling it open with a squeeky rusty sound coming as a result.

"In through the tunnels, under the bridge, forward to broken steps, until the room of old"

"What the?" I scrunched my nose in disgust as a fawel scent of rotten eggs, dead rats and heat all surrounded my nose."eww"I pushed my head back and closed the sorta door shut. What ever was in there,was either dead, or rotten and nothing alive could be inside that hell hole.

I again gazed at the closed sorta door and hesitantly looked away from it."they are not there"I thought as I slowly stood up, wiped the forming tears from my eyes and forced a smile"stay positive"."you really should stop running away like that, what if I can't track you,then what happens"A fuming kitara appeared from the bushes looking all ruffled up and worn out.

She looked much more beautiful than before, and her colors were popped out, making her look more attractive in a way,I couldn't help but blush."whoa, pink cheeks coming up"she raised both her hands in surrender and I smiled at her."and where were you?"I mockingly said and got a look as an answer."well where ever you were, you got cut in your lip and blood is spilling from it"I examined the thick red liquid on her lips."what oh, this don't worry about it"she wiped the blood of her lips and smiled innocently.

"Wait didn't you say when your blood spills, the gods become angry or something?"I continued to examine her lips but was interrupted by a hand on the shoulder"it wasn't really a big cut, so it didn't spill"she smiled."but, look at that pool of blood behind you that's from that bush"I changed my direction to the blood stained bush"uhm maybe they have a off day,you know a break"she smiled once more,but this time it looked suspicious.

"Hey isn't-"I was cut off"what is that?"she quickly pushed me to the side and approached the metal thingy"an underground passage way?"she grasped at the metal wheel and pulled it open causing the sorta door to land on the grass."eww"she jumped back and I had to chuckle"you like things!"I held my stomach and continued to laugh."shut up!"she hissed and got back to her feet before looking further inside the hole."maybe your parents are here?"she continued to look around the hole but I quickly pulled her away from it."don't be dumb, anything breathing wouldn't last a day in here"I directed my hand towards the door and kitara just gave me a sheepish smile."you won't know until we try"she suddenly grabbed my hand and threw me right inside the hole with darkness swallowing me in an instant snap.
