CHAPTER 1: LITTLE REBEL

Hey dad!! I shouted from across the office....
"Hey babygirl" dad said turning his chair
"I brought dinner here because u couldn't come to have dinner" I smiled
"Oh baby this wasn't necessary"
"Yes it was since u promised that we r gonna have dinner together tonight....u always break ur promise but i don't" I mumbled unpacking the food
"Oh...okay ma'am whatever u say" dad teased

Dad and I never really got time together since mom left...he started working harder and staying in the office more to avoid thinking about mom...he tries to hide it but im his daughter..i know him...he really tries to get tired in the end of the day so he can sleep without having to think about mom and break down...it must be hard being chief of police...he is always dealing with criminals
"Should we start?" Dad said holding my shoulder...i snapped out of my thought
Yes i said quietly...

We started eating and after few minutes I heard a loud thud from outside of the door
I turned around..
"What's that" I stuttered
"Stay here..." dad ordered pulling out a gun
I got up from the chair...

"Argggghhh" someone moaned
I stood close to dad hiding behind him
"DONT FUCKING MOVE" Inspector yelled
Someone bursted into the office....
"O- i uh....Sir im sorry i didn't realise u r here" Inspector said looking at dad
"Hi Emily" he waved
"Uh..Hi" i giggled nervously
"Oh u scared the shit out of us Murphy" dad signed putting his gun back
"Who was that...." I questioned
"I heard someone scream"
"No one its just...a jackass" Mr.Murphy laughed

I didn't understand I went out to see...and there was a person handcuffed..he was bleeding and had blue and purple circles around his eyes...someone must have punched him..

Mr.Murphy came and took him inside the prison or more like pushed him like an animal...he was bleeding and I felt bad..though a criminal he is also a human being...
"WAIT" I almost shouted..
Mr.Murphy and the criminal turned around...
"Aren't u gonna atleast do the dressing...he seems pretty bad" I demanded

....we had this conversation a 1000 times before...I really hated it...the officer here beats the prisoner for no reason at all...it is against the law and dad never questions it becuz he thinks its okay to be merciless becuz they r criminals...

"He is a godamn criminal Em" dad signed
" So...he don't deserve the human rights granted by law" I questioned
"These pigs r immune to it Em dear don't worry about him" officer said pushing him further into the cellar...
"He is a fucking murderer and robber..he is also charged with many other things" dad said

The criminal looked at me up and down as If he'd jump any time and kill me...it was so weird..knowing that someone can be so ruthless...there was heartlessness in his eyes...I saw no mercy...but he should've atleast got a painkiller..he was hurt pretty bad and was bleeding...all this situation made me so uncomfortable i didn't want to eat anymore...

I barged into the office and picked my bag
"Where u going Em" dad asked
"Home" I said silently putting on my shoes
"But we haven't even ate the dinner"

"Dad what do u expect me to do just eat dinner happily while u guys beat him to death...do u saw him...he was bleeding dad...his face was blue and red...and uk damn well that Mr.Murphy did it...i don't understand why u beat the prisoners why do u have to hurt them....Now don't start teaching me about 3rd degree torture ik u guys torture them to take out the information...but my question is why u beat them even when there is no information to gain...why do u think it is okay to hurt them...U R NO ONE TO HURT THEM...the court is there to decide their punishment....YOU GUYS R NO ONE TO DO THAT DAD" I yelled and pushed the door open to go outside....

"She is a little rebel isn't she" Murphy laughed folding his hands
