"Mission accomplished." Bree walked into the lab with her brothers following behind her.

"Great job, guys. You saved that island from the biggest tropical storm in decades." Donald said.

"And lucky for you I brought home a whole bag of hairy fruit." Adam said tipping his bag on the table letting a bunch of coconuts spill out.

"Yeah just be happy i made him put the pelican back" Bree said.

'Guys, that mission was the finest use of bionics known to date." Donald informed. "I think that we can all agree that strength plus speed equals success."

Bree and Adam high fives as chase questioned his role, "uh, excuse me, lets not forget the mastermind behind this entire thing..."

"Oh right lets give it up for our fearless leader Mr davenport." Adam whooped and high fived Donald.

"What no i mean me, i supervised the whole mission." Chase tried to make them understand but it wasn't working. It had been over a week since the showdown with Marcus and Amelia, and he hasn't been the same since. All he could think about was what went down that day and the fact that Amelia had been good all along but he didn't see it. He kept analysing the few months she had been lying to find any new information. Not being with her killed him but he couldn't bring himself to go back to her, not after everything that had happened. Not only did she lie, but she was with Marcus as well as him for those months, Chase couldn't help but think about all their intimate moments and how Amelia couldn't have not developed feelings for that tin can as well.
However, Chase being so caught up on his first real love made him slack on missions. He couldn't always keep his head straight to fight and it was beginning to make him feel useless. He couldn't help but ache for something more, and no matter what he tried to do he couldn't release that pain. He didn't know what to do.

"Yeah, but i think we all know who did the heavy lifting." Adam replied, playing with his coconuts. He looked around seeing a lot of emotionless faceless. "Look, ill give you a hint. Starts with an A ends with an M, there's a big DA in the middle. Okay, guys, its me." He tried to bite into one of the coconuts in his hands but he wasn't able to piece the hard skin.

"Please, the real work happens up here." Chase pointed to his temple, he wish this was true, and before the showdown it was. But now when he sends his siblings to create a vortex or lift a building instead of calculating probabilities of success and possible solutions he spends that time running through the tapes of Amelia in his mind, he didn't know exactly what he was looking for when he did but he knew there must be something there. He hated his new way of winging the missions but he could no longer help it. His Mind wasn't working.

"Look, Chase, your bionic Brain is no match for our hustle-"

"-And muscle" Adam finished Bree's sentence.

"Ooh, thats a great team name: hustle, muscle and " Donald hesitated, "chu..uscle? Don't worry we'll find you an uscle."

"Im so tired of these two getting all of the attention because they have super speed and super strength. I never get any of the credit."

"That not true Chase, they just have a lot of flash, but you're the glue that holds the flash together. You're flash glue."

"Im flash glue?" Chase grunted.

"Hey i think i figured it out." Adam smashed his coconut on his head and it split in two. "You're right chase the real work does happen up there."

The four teenagers were listening to Donald talking about his latest invention, the cryo-blaster. Chase could barely hear Donald speaking about it, he heard little phrases here and there of it freezing things in a nano second and that it'll 'revolutionise space travel' or something. It's things like these he would get so excited about but he didn't get excited about much anymore. Usually Amelia was here with him looking so shell shocked when a new invention was shown and that look on her face made Chase feel like a million butterflies were dancing in his stomach. But now that she wasn't here it seemed dull.
